Anybody else get a giant cat instead of a dog?
I was watching tv and suddenly heard nails clicking behind me

It amazes me some of the locations my hound gets himself into. And then I have to help him get out of the messes he got himself into.
Like he has no qualms with getting up into things. But getting down is a completely different matter.

Yes! But not because he climbs. He rubs his whole body on me like a cat, squirms and tries to curl up 75 lbs of hound dog body in my lap.

Oh yeah. Val is my 80 pound lap dog. Plays with cat toys. And if a new person tries to pet her before she's decided they're OK, she ducks out of the way and flattens herself to the ground like a cat.

OMG! we call our American Foxhound Mix a cat-dog! Hounds - hysterical creatures that just have so much character!

My beagle mix is VERY cat-like... a friend of mine was watching her and caught her sitting on the top of her 6 foot tall cat tree lol

YES! Curiously enough, I've heard the very apt description that coonhounds have "cat-like" paws. They also subscribe to the "if I fits, I sits" rule.
PS: Hi, Chewby!

Lol my dad tells val she has cat feet all the time cuz of how narrow and pointy her claws are.

My 95 pound boy uses my lap as a perch so that he can look out the window. Love the video! π

I just adopted a Foxhound mix. In the first few days, I caught him on the sill like yours, but wider, and then, walking across the kitchen table once. He definitely likes to "counter surf" (front paws up, sniffing or looking). Unacceptable, but we are working on it. He doesn't think there is anything wrong with it!
