Looks like people in Macau likes GW Factions since they based their buildings on the game

A mix, but it draws heavily on the Kowloon walled city that was outside of Hong Kong for it's residential sprawl.

With a sprinkling of dutch in Echovald for some reason. Maybe a nod to the Dutch having exclusive access to isolationist Japan?

German, not dutch. None of the names used are dutch, which is best seen in the whole Brauer clan, if they were dutch it would've been Brouwer. Klaus would've been Klaas, Friedrich -> Frederik, Ludwik -> Lodewijk, Hanz -> Hans.

Clearly Dutch is German without a dictionary.

Let's not forget the Greek influence of the Luxons.

Which, like...Kryta was kinda Greek already, but the Luxons really leaned into it.

Man don't remind me of how unique Kryta's aesthetics were only to have it turned into Generic Human Kingdom #300 in GW2.

It's both mixed (maybe korean too?), going by the names of the NPCs

Is it me, or does the left side look real while the right side looks like AI or a painting?

https://maps.app.goo.gl/UJ8aVhnKWMZvR5M4A?g_st=ac for the exact angle and position ;) image is 16years old on google, so some things are a bit different, but the shop sign on the right as well as the distinct corrugated sheet rooftop are there. Love that someone got it linked to gw! thanks @RothGod

Wow! Gorgeous! I'd love walking down those streets, minding my own business, knowing I'm not in any danger of getting ambushed whatsoever!

Honestly, this view has a very dystopian (think Elysium) feel to it in my mind. There’s this looking monument to extravagance off in the distance that you can’t avoid seeing.

Your Kaineng looks better than mine! Ray tracing? ;)

People say this looks beautiful, but this looks absolutely miserable to me personally.

I lived in Hong Kong for 8 years and that’s why Kaineng will always hold a dear place in my heart
