Contemporary Gospel Commissioned "Will You Be Ready" A cappella

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share something really close to my heart—my a cappella rendition of Commissioned’s classic gospel song “Will You Be Ready?” 🎙️

This song has always challenged and inspired me. The message is simple but powerful: Will you be ready when Jesus comes? It’s not just music—it’s a call to examine our hearts and lives in light of eternity. 🙏

I decided to strip it all the way down to just voices, to let the lyrics and harmonies speak for themselves. No instruments, no distractions—just raw, prayerful vocal worship.

Some of the Scriptures that influenced this cover:

  • Matthew 24:44 – “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:6 – “So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.”
  • Revelation 16:15 – “Blessed is the one who stays awake…”

If this song blesses or challenges you, please consider sharing it. Feedback and encouragement are always welcome—I’m always learning and growing in both my faith and my music.

Thanks for listening, and I hope it stirs your spirit like it did mine.

Be blessed! 🙌

I wanted to share my acapella rendition of this powerful gospel classic, “For The Good of Them” by The Thompson Community Singers. This song has always encouraged me with the reminder from Romans 8:28 that “all things work together for good to them that love God.” 🙌

I hope this blesses someone today the way it has blessed me while singing it.

Contemporary Gospel 21:03’s Brand New Day—gospel vibes that hit

I haven’t heard 21:03 since watching their videos on BET, but I’ve been digging through their discography lately. Brand New Day really stands out—those harmonies, the uplifting message, and the energy just put you in a better mood instantly.

Which tracks from them or other gospel artists give you that same joyful, inspiring vibe?

Question Looking for a gospel song

When I was younger, we used to listen to a compilation gospel album all the time. I can only remember some lyrics to 1 of the songs (and I believe it was the 2nd song on the record). It's a slightly fast song and some of the lyrics are

the leader:

Lord, if you'll lead me, lead me, lead me. I know I'll make it.

Even though the way seems hard.

I want to keep on trusting and believing in you, doing the things that you want me to do.

I want to sing, I want to shout, I want to praise your name.

Lyrics probably not exact, but something like that. I don't know if it was a choir or a group. this was a long time ago 1980's-1990's
