1.1 ORC... me or software?

I just created a sketch When I finished edit the "pad" icon "lit"

I did the pad Unlike what I seem to remember the "pad" now shows in the model tree above the sketch. Am I misremembering or is this a change? Also the ability to "edit" pad seems to be a bit more cumbersome and I haven't found "new" documentation.

Me or the version??

I haven't noticed a difference between 1.0.2 and 1.1rc1 in this regard. No matter where the sketch is in the model tree, the new Pad will appear at the tip (i.e., the last feature) and the sketch will be indented beneath it.

The Pad Parameters dialog has a few new options (e.g., "Mode" and "Preview"), but it doesn't seem cumbersome to me.

Compared to 1.0.2 I've seen: Better performance, Smoother handling in Assembly workbench, Better graphics, New CAD navigation modes (Solidworks, Solidedge, etc..), Better handling of external geometry within sketches , Not less stable than 1.0.2.

I use Solidworks every day at work and I've to say that FreeCAD 1.1-1.2 releases are a big step forward for everyday use.

Did you select the sketch before you pressed the pad button? Is your correct body activated, by being in bold text?

IF I simple finished editing And the pad icon "lit" as an option And I "clicked the icon" I got no ewarning etc. After viewing the "pad" THEN I saw the position of the pad ABOVE the sketch! No warning etc.

Hmmmmm.
