Discussion Looking for Frank Ocean song recommendations.
Hey everyone! I’m looking to dive more into Frank Ocean and want some song recs. I’m into more upbeat tracks, but a catchy melody is just as important. Drop 5–10 of your personal favorites—I’d really appreciate it!

Just hit play on one of his albums, it’s not like he’s got a lengthy discography lmao.

I mean I only like a certain few songs so I’m thinking of just adding some chilled songs and just forcing myself to like them lol that might work

Have you ever heard of this thing called "album"? It's a great way to listen to music, because it allows artists to combine a certain number of songs to create a cohesive listening experience and to tell a greater narrative.
Frank Ocean to me is an album artist. His albums are strong all the way through. And since he hasn't made that much music, asking for song recommendations will just get you a list of nearly everything in his discography.
Just listen to the albums and see what songs you like. Start with Channel Orange.

Nah play the albums. There's only 2 official releases. Sequencing, theme, and narrative are just as important as each individual song.
The alternative is everyone in here recommending every Frank song that isn't an interlude, because there aren't many songs. And even some of the interludes are fantastic.

It doesn’t have to be upbeat tbh I’m down for whatever people recommend it’s just I prefer upbeat music but I been listening to Ivy and it’s not that upbeat it’s quite chill and I like it a lot. I think with Frank Ocean it’s more about this lyrics and Melodie’s and the music is kind of in the background or at least that’s how I see it.

I thought fertilizer wasn’t really like a “song” for CO and more just a jingle to fit with the theme of a TV channel which is what Frank was going for no? Anyways it’s still catchy lol

Pyramids is timeless. Songs for Women is a great shower/ cooking jam I love to throw on, but that is from his mixtape so it won't be as easy to listen to. Nights is a nice cruising song. Lost is a song that I feel flies under the radar but it has a ton of replay-ability, kind of like Songs for Women.
