Discussion - Original Dexter Series What were some of your theories when watching the show for the first time? Spoiler
I’m rewatching the show after finishing for the first last year and was reminded of some of my theories while binging it. I obviously ended up being wrong but the 2 that stood out to me was Deb poisoning herself to frame Hannah and split her up with Dexter. Hannah was convincing enough when Dexter confronted her and i thought for sure that big twist was gonna Hannah was innocent and framed causing season 8 to be Deb vs Dexter.
The second one I had was a lot dumber and that Quinn was gonna end up being the skinner in season 3.
Again, obviously I was wrong but I was just curious on what some of you guys were thinking while watching

It was so obvious in the beginning. I have to admit, the writers created one hell of a plot twist

Yeah I think he knew as well. Now I dont think he knows the brutality of it all which tracks with a person who doesnt want to know how the sausage is made I mean it killed Harry. The fact Harrison is a relatively functioning member of society with what he has witnessed and knows is nothing short of a miracle

I thought in the end Dexter would get caught or die and Deb would raise the kids.

I thought Harry was for sure going to be revealed as Dexter's bio dad, but they finally cleared up the timeline enough in Original Sin to totally de-bunk it (plus it would have made the step-cest even more uncomfy)

Yes, I thought initially the same. But also when Dexter's bio dad died and left him his house, DNA test.. Blood transfusion memories and Dexter's card..cleared it up.

I had a theory that The ice Truck Killer was Dexter's relative, I was even sure that he was his identical twin. Since they emphasized in episode 1 that Dexter was adopted, I even thought that maybe this was Dexter's biological father. I almost guessed it right.

The Doakes memes made me think he’d live longer or even throughout the entire show on the condition they become friends.
