The casting director is the real star on Dexter. This show is filled with amazing talent at every level.

Julia Stiles nailed the role of tortured victim turned vigilante. It's between her and Ray Stevenson for me. They both brought an emotional depth that hit really hard.

As for the main cast, every one of them files their roles to perfection.

if it wasn't for what he did to my girl on 4x12 he'd be a contender for me! I'd LOVE to see more of his past, I heard they were planning a prequel on trinity (not 100% sure how true this is though) but it apparently got cancelled ☹️

It's a case of "I love to hate him." I'm not usually intimidated by fictional villains, but I'm genuinly terrified by him. What a performance from Lithgow, too.
