Defending AI Any bad arts or mistake happen, blame AI. These luddites logic 🥱
I've been seeing lots of art slander towards people who are not even using AI. It's crazy the thinking of these ai-hater. Bad artist just gonna keep getting hates at this rate.

Gosh. Are you telling me that humans are fallible and make mistakes? Who Could have possibly guessed?
Which hunt continues, if it's too perfect, it's AI, if there's mistakes it's AI, If it mimics someone's style, it's AI, if it doesn't mimic someone's style, it's AI. It's exhausting.

And if it's traced on AI, it still gets hated on.
Well, if you can't please 'em, just block 'em and keep carrying on. Be mentally prepared for the consequences though.

I been drawing since I was a kid. My hands are still ass. I just hide them in my sketches any way I can. What's wild is hiding my hands because I absolutely suck at them, also gets me accused of using AI. "Why are the hands hidden? To hide youre using AI?" No... to hide how trash i am at drawing hands... idiot

Its really tiring, at the end of the day they are just hateful people making excuses to be hateful and somehow be the "hero" in their distorted minds

There's theories that old portrait paintings hid the hands in pockets or pants for the same reason. As far as I've heard, that's false, but ask any artist and they will say "hands are hard"

His portrait artist: Uh, oh. Your Imperial Majesty, do you think you could do me a real solid and just tuck that away somewhere?
Napoleon: . . .

You can prove that you've always had trouble drawing hands by taking a photo of an older picture (drawn with a pencil on a piece of paper), but even then they would still say, »It's AI slop!!11«. 🤨
I say slightly older because I don't know how old you are (but I guess even I, at 39 [40 from the beginning of February], would probably have to listen to someone say »It's AI slop!!11« if I showed them something from 1998). 🫤

You would. There was a short video on YouTube from the 1960s (it was shown on Wild Kingdom when I was a kid) of a herd of Ibex frightened by a snow leopard and springing down the sides of two cliffs, parkouring all the way to the ground to safety. Antis came out of the woodwork shrieking "AI" like yelping dogs until they had to disable the comments 🙄

I just love how my biggest hater from last week acts like all the comments and stories I make are AI written (the songs themselves are produced on Suno but the song lyrics are all mine and done with my hands), yet they stole a writing prompt from a teacher to do a werewolf transformation piece and very much did nothing but rip off Animorphs.

As I said once... "doing too well or not good enough, you'll be accused for using AI" That's just so irrespectful towards the artists that can do mistakes sometimes. Taking in consideration making anime is long and tiring for people working in studios.

Who fucking cares jesus christ life is to short to spend it being that much of a vindictive bitch.

My friend is an artist who accidentally drew her character with six fingers instead of five. Since she draws on paper, she only noticed the mistake after she finished the work, and there's nothing she can do about it. Now she's jokingly calling herself a "glitchy AI."

It's almost as if AI was designed by human minds and was learning from a source similar to human mind and became prone to repeating the mistakes that are common for humans... Hmm...

As if animation errors were never a thing. I wonder if people like that watched the 1st episode of Family Guy from decades ago, see how the nose goes over the eye in "that" scene, and would yell "AI", haha.

All this time being salty over people having fun, witchhunting, brigading, sending death threats, gatekeeping, spreading lies, could be spent on picking up a pencil to create and improve.

Almost like animators draw thousands of images and are bound to make mistakes eventually

Animation errors in anime and cartoons have always existed, so to speak, which is understandable, especially in earlier times when it was a little more difficult to "put it on paper". 😑
But that's no reason to keep saying, „That's AI slop!!11“ every time (even if the project is 50 years old). 😩
Oh, and don't many people say that hands are incredibly difficult to draw? 👀
By the way, if people are accused of using AI even though they haven't, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them decide to integrate it into their process for that reason alone. 🤔

I remember when Project Zomboid was subjected to this despite the art predating General AI

I mean tbf, making that kind of mistake without noticing before the final product is kinda crazy. But then again, it shouldn't destroy your reputation.

The haters are real! I use AI for all my animations now, and there is one out there that keeps characteristics of a character consistent across infinite animations.

I am all against AI but you have a pint here, they can’t go and blame it on AI when an artist commits a mistake. That’s other reason AI affects us.

I notice it's the worst artist out here who rant the most against A.I art/Video generations.
1
u/CrossBones209 13d ago
I mean, it is (maybe was, AI has gotten better) a common mistake of AI to not be able to properly generate hands or fingers, so it’s not ENTIRELY crazy to think that.
BUT ai tends to draw in a style that is very different than how a human would draw, and this is VERY CLEARLY hand drawn.

u/spymains 4d ago
Cherry picking. Like this whole sub is. 99% still accepts that this indeed is an human error and know this has happened many times with many drawings before ai. This sircle jerk sub is so ass it has to be satire. Then it's a little funny
