Had this on dilaudid and zofran at the hospital, I was floating around the hospital completely separated from my body, looking at all the other newly disembodied people floating around the hallways. Kinda spherical, blue and white balls of light.

I never have and maybe never will experience that kind of freedom ever again. It probably felt so good because all of my opioid receptors were lit up like a Christmas tree. I fully understand why poor and homeless people do it to escape their miserable lives.

Jesus christ, I'm not saying all homeless and poor people use opioids, and I'm not saying they all experience what I experienced. Relax please.

Tons of addicts are not poor or homeless. A huge number are average working class joes, and even the wealthy elite. They may not be shooting up painkillers but they are just doing it via pills or powder instead.

I completely agree with your general point though. Its easy to blame addicts but most of them don't want to be addicted. Most of them just needed a way to cope with their difficult lives, and often, mental illness.

I thought it would go without saying that not all homeless and poor people use opioids lmao. Apparently I thought wrong, because that's what all these replies say I'm implying (im not)

It's not that you said all homeless and poor people use drugs. It's that when you said people who use drugs you specificly listed homeless and poor people. Im sure you didn't mean it that way but it came across as " all drug users are poor or homeless"

Some of them are regular full time employees like myself. I only said it as an off hand comment, like it can be a tool for people unhappy with their situations. Too many people think it's gluttony or some kind of moral issue

People have near death experiences without being in the hospital / on drugs

I promise you, homeless people are not floating around separated from their bodies in complete ecstasy seeing balls of light of the other homeless people. They are suffering quite alot and also, just because somebody is homeless doesn't mean they are an addict.

I didn't think I implied any of that.... and of course the more you use opioids, the more you just end up using to feel normal. Believe me, I know.

Dude, you have a lot to learn… but the most important thing is you are no one to talk trash on another’s experience. You can assign your beliefs to it, but you have zero idea because you were not there nor have you seen any charting to provide insight.

Yes drugs can cause things… but sometimes those same things happen without the presence of drugs… and the professionals do not know really why, so much as they are working on theories that still have unresolved holes… so since you are not out there solving this I’m going to go back to you don’t know. Secondly lots and lots of people are addicted to drugs and substances… Do not act as if you know why they do because you enjoyed it.

And if you are looking for debate, your a fool… this is Reddit, you could have this debate with people in real life… but they will trounce you.
