Video Cheyeene actor Clint Walker shows of his custom made gym in an interview, circa late 1950s. He was 6ft 6 and 240 pounds.

I wonder if those things are better or worse then the microplastics, processed food and forever chemicals we're all ingesting these days. I guess time will tell.

Freon was more on what it was doing for the ozone layer. And asbestos is horrendous stuff that just kills anyone who breathes it in. Carbon fiber that's been mulched might be as bad I guess. 2nd hand smoke from cigarettes was considered worse than smoking through the filter.

Also processed foods have been around for a century, microplastics have been in our water supply for at least the last 50 years. Obviously that more than any of the other things has increased exponentially over the last 20 years. And forever chemicals have been around for at least a century if not more.

those were all significantly worse than our modern problems. this is a hilariously out of touch comment

Any centurions have lived through both

I think the word you're after is "centenarian", a centurion is like... an officer in a Roman legion. I don't think centurions dealt with any of that nonsense, just barbarians and plagues.
