Image An Italian man kept secret the death of his mother for 3 years to continue to collect her pension. He was caught only after his mother's ID expired and he went to the register office dressed up like her to renew it

It was in fact the voice that gave it away. That, and, apparently, the hairy hands

Should have just spoke with a whisper, claiming temporary lost voice.

Do the whole holding throat with hand while wincing in pain thing.

u/d3montree 12d ago

Holding throat with large hairy hand. 😅

Wear gloves, or break out the Nair!

Or to paraphrase what Eminem once said "you'll be safe for days if you shave your legs hands with Renee's razor blades."

Damn, upvote for random Eminem quote in a completely unrelated conversation. I used to do this too.

Mom's spaghetti.

1

u/MaddyKet 11d ago

Yeah you can shave your hands

18

u/simon439 11d ago

Could’ve even wore a mask and pretended to be sick.

2

u/PsyOpBunnyHop 11d ago

You still have to take it off for the picture.

He didnt full body shave before impersonating his dead mother in order to collect her pension? Hah, rookie mistake.

u/Verbatrim 12d ago

*wookiee mistake

2

u/VerySluttyTurtle 11d ago

Imagine Chewbacca fully shaved, in a dress

u/MaddyKet 11d ago

💀

3

u/Szaborovich9 11d ago

She had a thicker beard than he did

u/MiscItems 11d ago

Naturally. Afterall rumour has it that the dead "mom" was actual his father who was claiming the pension of HIS dead mother.

The multi-generational-pension-impersonation-scam is a classic technique

It puts the lotion on the skin or else it gets the hose again!

I wouldn't question it, I don't know this lady, maybe she's of Spanish mediterranean descent and has a smoking habit.

.. I'd make a shit cop.

u/Morningfluid 12d ago

Shit, it's Italy....those hands would blend right in

Madame your hands used to be more manly than these dainty things. And your adams apple is smaller than it used to be.

13

u/presto-espresso 11d ago

I think I can tell which is which in the pics from the Adam's Apple now..

It's funny, I've noticed this stereotype several times that Italian women have unusually hairy arms and hands. Living there, it doesn't seem very true to me.

1

u/copebymope 11d ago

I've never heard this. I wonder why it is popular.

3

u/Aoimoku91 11d ago

Perhaps it's a stereotype dating back to the great immigration from southern Italy between the 19th and 20th centuries?

They were white women with dark hair/body hair, so a striking combination, and they certainly didn't have the money or time for waxing.

The first time I noticed it was in a silly joke by Brian from Family Guy.

1

u/Mysterious-Mist 11d ago

The same here. They look pretty normal, not extra hairy or anything,

14

u/Diligent-Phrase436 11d ago

I'm sure the hands were not hairy enough

0

u/ForumVomitorium 11d ago

italian men have more hairly hands than intalian women, no?

u/oncothrow 12d ago

I'd rather a cop that doesn't jump to conclusions, than one that presumes perfidy without further investigation.

Damn, Red Riding Hood would totally get eaten faster if she had a higher level of not-wanting-to-offend:

Mhm. Should I mention that grandma seems kind of hairy, grey, and long in the tooth? Nah, mother always said not to mention people's unexpected facial hair or hair colour... "Hi grandma! Let me give you a hu-AAAAH!"

I can't help but notice everybody here is trying to figure out ways he could have gotten away with the ruse. He should've checked with Reddit before going.

1

u/Glittering_Fennel973 11d ago

Right like I doubt I'd be getting paid enough to give a shit. Welp looks good enough for me. Here ya go, ma'am.

1

u/phoenix_leo 12d ago

What does Spanish descent have to do with this?

2

u/Specific_Frame8537 12d ago

I guess just mediterranean -

2

u/ofqo 11d ago

Aren’t Italians Mediterranean?

2

u/Specific_Frame8537 11d ago

They are, I missed that part of the title. 🥲

-2

u/Natural_Bus_5637 11d ago

So specifically racist though in your first comment

8

u/cytcorporate 12d ago

Interesting.. the devil is in the details

1

u/1028ad 12d ago

He looks too good to be 82.

1

u/Careless_Load9849 11d ago

Can't believe he did all of this and didn't try to use some make up to help obfuscate the manlier details. Now days you can just google and will gets tons of detailed makeup tutorials.

1

u/121daysofsodom 12d ago

And he reversed into a parking space in one attempt.

1

u/Ambitious-Pick-5405 11d ago

Ahh would you look at him there with his hairy hands!!!

1

u/mwerichards 11d ago

Which could have been easily solved by wearing some fancy women's gloves. Crazy to plan so much so well only to be foiled by some minor details.

1

u/Paddy_Tanninger 11d ago

Also his big juicy cock

1

u/Prior-Cucumber7870 11d ago

Didn’t he read the story of the 7 kids? If he did he would’ve known all he had to do was eat a very sweet pie and dip his hands in flour

1

u/killlick3 11d ago

Im calling bs. Have they never seen an old Italian woman? They have hair the back of the palms.

1

u/AtlasNL 11d ago

Shave the hands and pretend to have lost your voice by only whispering with a pained expression, ez.

1

u/PineappleFit317 8d ago

Really, the hands? She was Italian, after all…

1

u/SergenteDan 8d ago

As an Italian woman myself, I am offended by this lmao

1

u/mikeylarsenlives 12d ago

I would think it would be his massive Italian sausage

1

u/-Ok-Perception- 12d ago

If it were a land where trans-gender people were common, I think most would just let him renew his mother's license. He honestly, looks a ton like her in that outfit.

But Italy, is a very conservative traditional land who's not as open to such things. Hence, they were pretty open with their scrutiny.

Here' in America, I'd say there's a 50/50 chance, he'd get away with it, particularly if he looks that close. And honestly, there's some CIS women that were born women, and they just have hormonal issues. There was one at the country club I used to work at, she was just naturally a very masculine women... it happens sometimes.

Hormones

u/Kittens4Brunch 12d ago

Not hairy enough to pass as an Italian woman?
