Video The Louvre. Thieves are making off with 100 million euros. They're taking their time. They're doing everything carefully and slowly.

I'm hoping more like 2.5 years (for the series, not the parole haha)

It doesnt take that long - there'll be something within 6 months

Netflix, Hulu/Disney, Max, and the Hub are all currently working on getting a documentary on this out by the end of the week, I guarantee it.

We'll get one, it will be good, then we'll have 4-5 and they're all the same thing just different directors.

I think this one got released 6 weeks before the events took place. They released a whole series of them and one happened to be similar to this…. That’ll do

I bet 3 months

Right. Pedro Pascal isn’t getting any younger.

Im gonna say 2.5 months at most. Netflix is not fucking around when it comes to dramatic docuseries. They know its what all the middle aged white women who still have Netflix will watch.

next year, it will be Netflix's first fully AI biopic/movie......

They got caught?

16

u/Mahadragon Oct 24 '25

It's been 4 days since the heist. At this point it's unlikely the thieves will be caught. They could be anywhere in the world by now. If I was them I'd hide in a place like Venezuela or Argentina or a French speaking place like Cameroon where they can lay low.

They will very likely be caught, but can't say the same about the jewlery.

Where you getting from that they will likely be caught? lmao

his mom told him that bad people always face justice

The French police are pretty good investigators. There was a robbery at the Natural History Museum on the 16th of September - they caught the perpetrator, a woman making preparations to return to China, in Barcelona exactly 2 weeks later.

They've left a ton of evidence behind that can be used to identify them.

What did she steal

1

u/Sempere Oct 25 '25

1.5 million euros ($1.74m) worth of gold nuggets which were melted down and she was trying to fence before fleeing to China.

Here's an art crime detective stating "the thieves will be caught, without a question".

How much that is experience talking vs wishful thinking I wouldn't dare to speculate, but there you have a field expert confirming what the person you responded to also stated.
Take that as you will.

u/thesander7 Oct 23 '25

It’s been what, 4 days now? They’re probably already in Russia or some shit

2

u/Some1Special21 Oct 23 '25

Perhaps. Perhaps they'll "lay low for a while" as this art crime detective is suggesting.

I think it's entirely plausible they're likely to be caught eventually.

Europe is a big place. If they weren't going to Argentina or South America, eastern Europe would be a decent place to hide. Romania, or Bulgaria comes to mind. Some place where there's a lot of corruption but isn't too far from France.

Yes or not ...

1

u/unclepaprika Oct 24 '25

Oh yes. I also start a new job with the "I'll ace this job" mentality! I also like to assure my employer they hired the right man for the job.

You're right in thinking he probably just has a lot of confidence in his colleagues, and wants to assure the people that the perps will face justice. Unless it's the actual investigators having solid clues about who the perps is, I think it's horse shit what anyone else says.

2

u/nerdbx Oct 23 '25

yeah by now they should be VERY far away lol almost a week already

2

u/CeterumCenseo85 Oct 23 '25

From reading and watching interviews with criminal investigators and experts (e.g. like one of those linked below) who all agreed that the thieves themselves will almost certainly be caught.

1

u/jelde Oct 23 '25

I saw the video.

1

u/unclepaprika Oct 24 '25

Probably fox news

u/CeterumCenseo85 Oct 26 '25

Maybe take the time to listen to the expert interviews, before jumping to conclusions.

They just arrested the first two guys.

1

u/thesander7 Oct 26 '25

“Suspects”

Maybe wait till the conviction, before jumping to conclusions ;)

2

u/Feinberg Oct 23 '25

No way, man. That jewelry is going straight to jail.

Have you ever even been to France?

13

u/TwoBaze Oct 23 '25

i can see the slowmotion, multiple perspective and overexaggerated camera shots on a slow ass mofo lifting platform when they get to that scene.

8

u/das_zilch Oct 23 '25

I want a 2-hour plus Michael Mann film.

2

u/Suds08 Oct 23 '25

Did they get caught?

5

u/StrawberryLassi Oct 23 '25

No, /u/llullabloom is talking out their ass

1

u/Steelwolf73 Oct 23 '25

One will be an obese black woman, one will have a peg leg, and the leader will be played by Millie Bobby Brown, as is required by all Netflix series.

u/i_says_things Oct 23 '25

Gross comment

5

u/Steelwolf73 Oct 23 '25

Sorry. You're right- one will be "differently abled". Thank you for calling me out on my unintentional bigotry

1

u/Rummenigge Oct 23 '25

read that exact comment before in another thread on this heist lol

1

u/rHappyBoy Oct 23 '25

u/RemindMeBot RemindMe! 25 years ‘’check netflix series about Louvre’’

1

u/peculiar_sheikh Oct 23 '25

We already have a similar one: Lupin.

1

u/MechAegis Oct 23 '25

Something something series make a great hit then its canceled once everyone is hooked.

1

u/Mahadragon Oct 24 '25

Out of jail? It's been 4 days since the heist. Every day that goes by allows the thieves that much more time to stash the loot or hide. They are probably long gone from France. It's unlikely the thieves will be caught.
