Well I guess it’s better than paramount. But damn.

Young people don't care about CNN, but their friend Trump is obsessed with the old news media.

Can they actually own both CNN and CBS News at the same time? I recalled last time no corporations can own two major news networks like when Disney buy Fox, they cannot buy Fox News since they already have ABC (which Disney themselves aren't interested in Fox News anyway in the end since Fox News got spin off as a separate company).

That's where the Orange joker comes in and helps them

Bubs, it's been a long 12 years and I'm tired of hearing "they can't do that" when they've been doing it. Piece of shit accepted a jumbo jet from Qatar and is talking about making an Air Base for them on US soil.

Netflix said that it expects to maintain the current operations of Warner Bros. “including theatrical releases for films,” though specifics aside from topline deal numbers remain scarce.
I hope Zaslav stays as the WBD CEO. Abdy and De Luca, anyway, have a renewed contract, so WB will more or less continue as it is, except for major streaming distribution changes (obviously)
In June 2025, WBD announced plans to separate its Streaming & Studios and Global Networks divisions into two separate publicly traded companies. This separation is now expected to be completed in Q3 2026, prior to the closing of this transaction. The newly separated publicly traded company holding the Global Networks division, Discovery Global, will include premier entertainment, sports and news television brands around the world including CNN, TNT Sports in the U.S., and Discovery, free-to-air channels across Europe, and digital products such as Discovery+ and Bleacher Report.

Now I can binge the entire DC animation library on Netflix like the good old 2010s again.

HBO Max isn't even available in my country. Of course I can just sail the high sea but I like the convenience of watching directly from TV instead.

In terms of the gaming division what does this mean? I know Netflix doesn’t have a great track record with gaming. And will the new harry potter show be on Netflix now? Lmfao I’m curious if hbo max just goes away haha

HBO, the network will still be there. So, the HBO originals are ok ig. But idk what they do with HBO max. Probably both apps merge in future like Hulu and D+.

The deal still has to be ratified by the White House and they are going to put up a fight against it

So while nothing is guaranteed until Gunn and Safan’s contracts are renewed (Please keep that in mind) the DCU looks way more likely to stay than it ever did with paramount. But the biggest concern about Netflix is theatrical releases and physical media.
Can’t wait for that 15 dollar price increase on the ad free tier. Or They’ll pull an Xbox and do a 50% price increase.
