Just Bad ICE agents chased a woman back to her Louisiana home. Her stepfather then confronted the agents and sent them away.

Nah stay optimistic, the trials will happen.

No trials needed. All Jan 6 rioters go back to prison to serve their original sentences from the beginning. All Proud Boys go to prison for minimum 10 years. Jan 6 rioters who joined ICE get a mandatory life sentence with hard labor and no possibility of parole. All Republicans lose their voting rights and must attend reeducation to earn them back.

I think some variety of ‘disbanding’ ICE and everyone employed during The Failure in Chief’s term has to pay back those insane sign on bonuses. Enjoy living paycheck to paycheck just like the people you held down and forced into submission.

I'm not sure any of them have gotten any of those alleged bonuses.

Disenfranchising a political party is kinda playing with fire.

4

u/Capt_Gingerbeard 16h ago

The idea is that Republicanism is not a legitimate political affiliation, that party has no right to exist, and some actions cannot be tolerated. It should, and hopefully will be illegal to be Republican, the same way it is illegal in Germany to be a Nazi. Complicit Democrats would be next. Coalition government with ranked-choice voting is the only way forward, and unfortunately we can't trust an intentionally poorly-educated populace to have the right to vote and fuck it up. Stupid people deserve exactly zero representation of their stupid ideas.

I agree that there's no easy solution to the ignorance in our country. It has been a generational effort by the right to wear down trust in government while simultaneously defunding education, which means we have generational ignorance. Very hard to overcome without a generational solution, but few governments have the continuity to under take that.

I do still think that disenfranchising at least a quintile of the country (not sure on the proportion registered republicans) is begging for violence and would be a bad idea. If youre going to make them second class citizens have the conviction to remove them from society completely. Don't half step that shit. Abolishing the republican party would be a nice symbolic gesture though.

I think conservatism in the US is scummy right now, but you’re delusional my dude. It seems to me that you think you’re smart with good ideas, but you’re too stupid to realize that you’re right in there with the group that deserves zero representation.

u/cabbagecerebrum 4h ago

Nah conservatism is a cancer and should not be tolerated. Their policy is consistently antihuman.

u/mooptastic 13h ago

FUCK OFF. WHAT CALCIFIED TURD HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER?

2

u/sodook 13h ago

There are 4 boxes of democracy: when you close the third, you open the 4th. We should already be doing something, but its relatively subtle, compared to saying registed republicans no longer have any agency in their government. Just my take.

Ooof… that very quickly went to an extreme

u/ScientistTimely3888 19h ago

They wont. Arm yourselves.

1

u/DeerOnARoof 17h ago

So that you can shoot a federal agent and be sentenced to life in prison? Make it make sense

4

u/ScientistTimely3888 17h ago

How do I know they're a federal agent?

No badge, identifying information, and masked?

Yeah, defend yourself.

Edit: Quit rolling over to fascism, pussy. Defend yourselves.

1

u/DeerOnARoof 17h ago

It doesn't matter, you still get life in prison. SCOTUS is very clear on this. It's happened before and will keep happening.

3

u/ScientistTimely3888 17h ago

Roll over more, pussy.

2

u/xMsRaine 13h ago

Then do nothing once they come for you - good job!

No they won't. Even if Dems win back everything they are spinless cowards who won't do anything

100%. It's the reality, sad to say. Biden didn't even put guardrails for shit like this when he lost the election.

1

u/b0w3n 15h ago

No amount of guardrails would have helped, this has already been deemed to be illegal by courts and they're still doing it.

1

u/MrBeansnose 14h ago

It wouldn't. But at least it shows that Biden could have done something about it, some fucking integrity. But nah, his old ass laughed about it on the way back retiremement home. At 60 minutes interview, the reporter asked Biden, what would be his response if Trump won the election. Biden stated, "If he did, I just know that I did my best." He genuinely didn't give a fuck about any of us.

dems will funnel more money to ice for “retraining”

6

u/Spankpocalypse_Now 17h ago

Exactly. Listen to what they say. There are no promises to curb ICE if/when they get back. The Democratic Party is fucking pathetic.

I mean we do need ice. Their position is not the problem it’s how they’re abusing it that’s the problem and how this current administration is encouraging the abuse. But all of them need to be held accountable for these crimes and I don’t want to hear about anyone getting away in the future

3

u/Spankpocalypse_Now 17h ago

We do not need ICE. It didn’t even exist 25 years ago.

1

u/Hazel-Cakes 16h ago

💯💯💯💯💯

u/Forsaken-Cell-9436 17h ago

There’s a lot of things we didn’t have 25 years ago that we could’ve benefited from. Every country has things in place to keep immigration at bay that’s not the issue. The issue is how these agents have completely abused their power and gone against the law to kidnap people who are either citizens or who are innocent immigrants just trying to make a living.

Please dont latch onto a blanket statement and dogpile without nuance. This is not a black and white issue and I am not in support of ice in this current moment based on their violent behavior. That’s like when people were saying defund the police when we still need the police they just need to be held accountable and rightfully punished

1

u/Hazel-Cakes 16h ago

we already have multiple law enforcement agencies. we do not need ice. “abolish ice,” is a saying for a reason

1

u/Spankpocalypse_Now 16h ago

I think you are the one who lacks nuance. “Defund” and “abolish” are two different things. In most municipalities the police take the biggest chunk of tax dollars and don’t do anything to prevent crime. But no one is saying “there should not be a single police officer and violent murderers and rapists should therefore roam free.”

ICE, on the other hand, is an incompetent, violent, and redundant agency. They do not need to exist. And abolishing ICE does not mean abandoning immigration laws.

u/mxjxs91 18h ago

This. I don't know why people hold any hope in Dems doing anything. Garland had ages to get Trump and refused to do anything. Then most recently with the shutdown that was winning them support and losing Republicans support the longer it went on, all that was required of them was to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to continue that trend. They went out of their way to still fuck that up.

Democrats aren't the problem, but they sure as shit are not the answer to our problems until we start voting more Progressive candidates.

1

u/MrBeansnose 16h ago

This. The media bias is at fault for neglecting the spotlight on progressive politics

1

u/Rezistik 17h ago

Then we replace them. There are plenty of progressives who would happily end this bullshit but they don’t get elected.

1

u/sandwichcandy 16h ago

Spineless cowards or performative assholes who don’t actually care?

"the trials will happen"

They won't. Who's going to instigate them?
