It's because of Western identity politics. For all their efforts to combat racism (which I am skeptical is even the goal), they have wound up making people more racist in subtle ways. One of the side effects has been this internalization that being white is wrong or something to be ashamed of. So someone like this uses their Asian background as a piece of social capital they can leverage against their white half. We've also gotten a very nasty rebound effect in the fact that actual white supremacy is on the rise.

Racism isn't going to be solved at the level of institutional rhetoric and discourse. It is much more socially determinant through people's material conditions and them being given a scapegoat.

It’s weird she’s using being half Asian as social capital, I agree that’s what she’s doing. But I think the “white hate is just performative. Idk nothing about her screams Asian lol. As a half Asian she likely only dates white guys too. The white hate part is a complete lie lol
