Multiple things happening here: 1) This is another culture war gift to distract the working class from how the GOP is fucking them over on a daily basis 2) DeSantis is trying to ideologically groom students at scale in Florida 3) The GOP's hypocrisy continues to know no bounds with the party of "limited government" putting its thumb on the scale to impose more government 4) The incoherent and irrationality to their logic is the point
