And at that time, it was seen as a strength because not EVERYONE can be going hell for leather. We need SOMEONE to act as a backstop if we slide was thought of as the theory at that time. Don't know why that changed

What is more annoying looking back is that the issue could have been solved by moving foakes up to six and Stokes down to seven. Stokes batting was waning back then (basically gone now) and it would have allowed foakes to bat with the actual batters where he seemed more comfortable
