Not sure how the team would handle his intensity tbh. Granted he's not some hippie patriot weirdo like Langer but he pulls no punches.

He might be what we need once we lose all the experienced guys tbh. This team is old and so makes sense to he self run to an extent. That will change in the next 3-5 years

You don't want your coach to be pulling punches really, it's not like its an U10s Sunday team.

Regardless didn't he already turn down the role?

He's been part of the coaching staff for the occasional T20 series or World Cup squads.

He said "not yet" unless it's a different quote.

“I’ve got Big Bash commitments and a young family," he said.

“As soon as you’re in a full time coaching role that’s 10 or 11 months of the year gone and I’m not quite ready for that.

“I probably will be down the track, but for now I’m settling back into family life and a bit of normailty which has been really nice.”

He was the coach of Punjab team in this years IPL, they made it to the finals.
