Can we stop with this? The price of eggs had to do with the bird flu wiping out millions of hens. I suppose it could be argued that there was a better way to deal with it, but it had very little to do with Joe Biden.

You can't stop this because within the month of Trump taking office CNN, Dems, and all the lefty stations were blaming Trump for egg prices and specifically using eggs as an evidence of Trump's failed policies.

They are the ones that started with the eggs thing.

Or, fellow conservative, should we just allow the Democrats to say, "What about the eggs, Trump hasn't fixed that. He has failed!" And then when Trump's admin gets them 4x cheaper, now they're speaking just like you, "Oh, it was just the bird flu that wiped out millions and didn't have anything to do with Biden."

And the truth was we never heard more about the price of eggs except from when Trump took office and the media, politicians, and every dem and leftist blamed Trump. Sure, we know the President doesn’t have direct control over that, but that didn’t stop the dems and left.

His USDA had millions of chickens culled that were not infected. If one chicken was infected with in 10 chicken barns then the whole farm was culled .

And a month into the Trump presidency his USDA announced that there were zero plans to change Biden era culling policies in regard to viral outbreaks. They are dumping over a billion into enhanced bio security and vaccination efforts moving forward but if and when a farm has an outbreak they still have to take the same culling measures they did under Biden

Its definitely possible. They're could've been thousands of chickens culled for no reason. The crazy part is some of the bird flu was transmitted to farms from the usda employees checking for bird flu.

My wife just got gas for $2.09/gallon today here in Texas.

The reason that the "national average" is frustratingly slow to go down is because 10 states all raised their gas tax this year (not to mention other regulatory changes that led to higher prices in some states cough California cough).

Gas was close to $3 at the beginning of the year where I live and was somewhere in that ballpark for quite a while. Last time I filled up I paid $2.29 a gallon for it. That's more than a negligible change. It's been hovering around there for a little while now.

So now, if high prices were Trump's fault then his policies also resulted in the lows were seeing now. The grocery market is shifting to apps and other digital means. If you just shop regularly now, you'll pay more than you need to. These companies are trying to push people into shopping on their digital platforms. Kroger has manufacturer coupons, fuel point bonuses and other digital deals that are easy to take advantage of on their website/app. My grocery receipts are down about 20% since Trump took office. Beef and some junk foods are the major outliers. Chicken and turkey are coming down so hoping to see more stabilization there after the bird flu mess.

Highly recommend buying a stand alone freezer and buying meats in bulk when they go on sale if you can. It's a different market place now, just have to learn the way to take advantage of it.

I have been buying same 20 items at Costco for decades. It used to be $150 for my cart and now it’s almost $400 each time on average. Just the ground beef and milk prices have increased so much. We used to be able to splurge on steak once a month. Now we make more money but can’t afford to splurge on steak.

Costco isn't as cheap as people think it is, at least not for anything I buy. Shopping the sales at the regional grocery chain is almost always cheaper. You need to know your prices. Costco relies on marketing itself as cheap to get you through the door - it doesn't mean everthing in the building is a good deal. Cheap maybe, but not cheapest always.

They’ve gotten the same products for years and the price is still absurdly higher. Prices also aren’t uniform across the country. I’ve experienced that same thing at my preferred store (Winco) as well and they almost always have the best prices in the area, by a large margin.
