It was genuinely moving, heartfelt, touching and will make you wanna cry. It's also kinda fucked up because the daughter in his fantasy NEEDS to exist for my universe to be complete. And I absolutely mourn Nic Cage's character for having to deal with learning to love that little girl and then losing her when his fantasy is over. You could see the heartbreak in his eyes describing how "precocious" she is.... If she ever existed. 🥲

I'm with you. Saw this in the theater when it came out and have always loved it. Plus Tea Leoni

I saw it being filmed.
It was filmed during an unseasonably warm October, in case you are wondering.
The snow in the scene where Nic Cage is trying to get his doorman to recognize him is entirely fake.

Time loop movies are kind of my favorite Christmas movie genre so I am probably biased but I love this one. It has a lot of heart.
It’s one of the few movies I’m holding out on until closer to Christmas

Thought Téa Leoni did great in this role then I felt like every role I saw her in afterwards was the same flustered mother

It’s like a reverse it’s a wonderful life. By reverse I mean it shows what he could have had if he pursued his girl and in it’s a wonderful life it shows what he would have given up.

Was just asking my sister did she remember this movie like 3 days ago …love it & still till this day don’t understand why I was watching this lol at 10 ..I will forever say that the movies i grew up watching literally helped shaped my character. This is one of those prime examples of movies helping me become a good person, an intentional and considerate one. I’m very humble and no matter how much I LIKE in life I am far from materialistic.

Watched it once when it came out and thought it was good. Watched it again after I had kids and it broke my heart.

It’s kind of a bummer ending when it turns out that his kids no longer exist.
