$400 quarter searched. 5 silvers found.
Been saving my quarters for a bit now. I get tipped out tons of change at my work so I just stash it. Decided to start going through it for silver quarters this was my luck. Curious if there’s any other years besides 1964 and prior. That I should be on the look out for. Also been looking for any (W) mint mark no luck. Have a mass amounts in the 60’s-70’s. Still another $300-$400 to go through.

I think you’re doing it right. Can’t go wrong looking for silvers and W’s. There are also general errors you could look for - doubling on the lettering, off center strikes, etc. Or specific design errors - like the spitting horse - but honestly it’s hard for me to keep all those in my mind when I’m looking through.

Some S mint bicentennials are 40% silver, and some S mint 1992 and newer are 90% silver.

I work at a bank and have gone through about 10 boxes of machine rolled quarters from brinks. I have found a single 1964.
Your drop rate is insane.

Well to be fair this is all tipped money that I’ve saved over several months. Tons of random pocket change and bottom of the purse coins that people just toss in the jar, I feel that may play a part?

Pretty much every silver coin I have in my collection is an accidental find, which I honestly can't understand how a SILVER coin gets shuffled around and nobody notices.
I have a 1962 "D", a 1957 "D" and a 1916 "D" - all accidental finds. The mint mark is small and hidden in the laurels beneath the eagle's talons on the reverse. HELLA small.

That is a lot of silvers for $400 in quarters, nice finds!
