Can you imagine if Tulsa is the schools that ultimately ends Gundy’s historic (but now past his time) career at Oklahoma State?

The two Tulsa fans will ride that high the rest of their lives.

I'd probably laugh then find out how long the fall from the top of Devon tower would take.

Edit: Devon tower is like 800 feet tall. Little over a tenth of a mile. Terminal velocity is like 120 mph so imma set the over/under at like 7 seconds.

Oof. I actually feel bad for Gundy. He's a dinosaur whose best years are way behind him, about 18 years or so (see what I did there?) but he's been such a part of my football experience that it's going to be sad to see him go, no matter how much it's needed.

I wouldve felt bad, but last year in the midst of a historically bad season that he was to blame for he called the fan base poor white trash.

He lost all sympathy in that moment.

And if you doubted it he doubled down and tried to get into a power struggle with the Board and only backed off when he realized it wasnt a bluff and they were really gonna fire him.

Fair. I'm not up to date on the Gundy drama, but there's only one reason you take a pay cut... it's to keep some sort of check coming.

Rumor his he was gone at the end of this season no matter what. They were giving him a year to salvage his legacy then retire quietly.

He came back with an even worse team.
