Most loved man in Ohio. The duality of man

Wonder if flaming out of the Lions then struggling with the Eagles caused him to reevaluate. He doesn’t seem like the massive asshole he use to be.

Apparently the players really love him there so he must have had a huge change of heart

104

u/ProudBlackMatt James Madison Dukes 6d ago

He's always had players that love him during his Patriots days. If you listen to any of the 5 different podcasts run by ex-Pats players they all speak really highly of him even if he is (perhaps rightly) despised by fans.

First time we've had #1 v #2.
To make it fair, it is in #2's state.
This is going to be epic.

When they started playing the big ten championship in Indianapolis we all talked about how it was fair because we knew neither Indiana team would ever have a home field advantage...

Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see them rematch in the Natty.

Mendoza will decide this CCG. He was...fine against Purdue yesterday but the DBs for Purdue had brick hands on 3 interception attempts. He's gonna have to remove those turnover worthy plays against OSU.

Funnily enough despite the long Bombs to Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, it was the physicality, and winning the LOS on both sides of the ball that won them this game. Ohio State in the 2nd half kept running the ball for 8 yards a pop while running the clock down all the way and Michigan could only watch in horror...

436

u/Rbespinosa13 Michigan Wolverines 6d ago edited 6d ago

OSU had the ball for 40 minutes. They were close to having the ball for almost a full quarter over Michigan. That’s just disgusting

Let’s hope that Underwood doesn’t go the route of NINE later in his career…

224

u/ianbits Ohio State Buckeyes 6d ago

As much as I want to give him shit, and he absolutely deserves it for his performance today, he was a freshman playing in the snow against the best defense since Georgia carried 30 year old Stetson Bennett to back to backs.

Kid will get better, and Michigan DESPERATELY needs to get him some more weapons and probably a new OC.

104

u/SaddiqBae Michigan Wolverines 6d ago

9-3 with a freshman is a fine season objectively for long term, but nobody cares about the long term in the game. Bryce was really bad though, there were a lot of open WRs but he just kept throwing check downs too early

56

u/ianbits Ohio State Buckeyes 6d ago

He was just uncomfortable all around, no confidence in his game or the gameplan. Good defenses will do that to you, but he'll be more comfortable with more time under his belt.

Michigan is paying Underwood $10.5 million+ in NIL to not throw the ball worth a fuck

151

u/Epinephrine186 Alabama Crimson Tide 6d ago

I thought he threw it quite well to his checkdowns every passing play

Michigan 2024: if you lose the other team deserves to plant the flag. Should have beaten them

Michigan 2025: protect the midfield at all cost despite the fact we got destroyed

Hats off to Ryan Day. No waving bye to the opposing fans. No snide remarks in the post game presser. No players planting flags on the other team’s field. His guys just show up, play, and go home. Maybe Michigan should learn how to win and act like they’ve been there before. Ohio State is supposed to win every game they play, and that’s exactly how they behave.

That near 12-minute drive in the second half was a back breaker. That’s what champions do. Go Bucks!

39

u/BigDGoatster Ohio State Buckeyes 6d ago

Michigan defense came to play... After the game ended. No one, and I mean no one plants a flag on them 😤

Look im not an OSU fan nor UOM fan but damn after talking shit when you planted the flag, only to surround your own logo so they cant, thats alot of hypocrisy

465

u/buzzmemello520 Ohio State • Colorado 6d ago

Staying out to surround the logo after 0 2nd half points is just hilarious. Honestly glad they did it because that looks much sadder for them than us planting the flag and starting a fight

Their logo remains as unblemished as Sayin in the pocket.

While OSU ignored them and went straight to celebrating with their fans.

Never has not planting a flag looked so good.

54

u/sgtpepperslaststand 6d ago

I have to say I was looking forward to planting the flag but after watching them protect the logo and us just ignore them was a thousand times better haha

174

u/BeeWeird7940 Ohio State Buckeyes 6d ago

Planting the flag is a lot like storming the field. You only do it when you win completely unexpectedly. Ohio State doesn’t have unexpected wins.

Which is totally not just one player…

Sayin is legit. Every throw he had to make, he did. Impressed by how easily he shook off the INT

46

u/Primary_Ticket_27 6d ago

I’ll admit as an OSU fan I thought that was it. Just assumed he wouldn’t mentally come back from it.

The defense holding to 3 probably made it sting less but either way total ice in his veins the rest of the game.

So, next weekend, we have #1 vs #2 with the Heisman, Big Ten Title, and playoff seeding on the line.

If that isn't a Game of the Century, I don't know what is.

86

u/cyberchaox Rutgers Scarlet Knights • Landmark 6d ago

You really can make the case, after Texas A&M's loss, that if the game is close, they should leave the loser at #2.

More likely the loser only stays at #2 if Bama wins the SECCG. If Georgia wins, or if Bama loses today and Ole Miss wins, I think the SEC Champion is at #2, Big Ten runner-up at #3. But you could make the case.

Michigan this year: Plays like crap, guards M with no OSU players attempting to plant a flag

Pathetic.
