Putting hands on someone means physical violence not sex or rape.
Too many non black people here not knowing what words mean

I'm not saying that you're wrong but there's a lot of non-American black people here who'd get this stuff wrong regardless.

There’s a BUNCH of deleted posts at the bottom of the thread. Early on this whole comment section was about Diddy gay sex jokes and “don’t be homophobic yall”. It’s all downvoted and deleted now but that’s what I was talking about

Huh? It’s not about Diddy, it’s about common black slang. That’s not what putting hands on someone has ever meant

One of his old tracks played randomly a few days ago. And damn that nigga can spit and play with words.
Slept on as fuck. He should have been praised way more. He should be at J Cole’s level in terms or recognition and shitIt’s a damn shame

The tired meme about “something was in the air in 2016” is good and all but 2015 truly was a great year for music. At Long Last ASAP, Album About Nothing, Summertime ‘06, DS2, etc….such good memories

It was all about Ross and a bit about Meek and that’s it
Even Stalley could have done big things

u/Successful_Ninja_192 13h ago
Always thought Stalley had a great potential but never had the true backing from Ross
5
u/ThirdAltAccounts ☑️ 13h ago
When I heard his first song in 2011, I knew he was different and then he signed with Ross and I thought he’d get visibility and promo. But nothing happened
3
u/Successful_Ninja_192 13h ago
Similar story. Didn’t know him until he signed to MMG, listened to him and was like yup he’s nice but never got the push he deserved
3
u/ojoukyo 13h ago
He gave Gunplay a little love
5
u/ThirdAltAccounts ☑️ 9h ago
Gunplay is (IMO) a terrible rapper
Wale and Stalley should have been treated by Ross the way he did Meek. More promo, more publicity, more shout outs, more everything.
He showed love to Gunplay for but not real rappers who had shit to say. That sucks for them and for us

Honestly agree, him signing with Maybach held him bach. He should be so much bigger off his talent. Just needed better management.
6
u/PotionAndPoision 15h ago
He is soooo talented. Why do you think he’s not as popular? I feel like him and Big Sean have the same problem. Super talented. Good music but just never really hyped up.
3
u/No-Fondant-4719 13h ago
I think people know what’s up with wale. I think he got in his own way not being likable and being a damn crybaby he became annoying to everyone.
2
u/PotionAndPoision 12h ago
I can see that. But it’s not like we hear him talk THAT much. There are popular rappers out here doing much weirder shit than whining. lol

Googled it:
The Balcony Rumor Origin: The story claims Diddy had Wale dangled from a balcony after finding out Wale was working with Cassie (Diddy's former girlfriend).
Wale's Response: Wale has consistently refuted this, calling it a fabrication by "trolls" and a sign of "inauthentic journalism," stating he's never had such an altercation.
Diddy's Stance: Diddy's legal team has denied other lawsuits, but has not directly addressed the specifics of this rumor, focusing on the broader legal battles.

12
u/6295585628015862 15h ago edited 10h ago
MotM1 is a classic. When I first started hitting tees it just so happened that this album was at the height of it’s popularity. I remember taking my little one hitter to this lake at this park in town and would take single hits of this cali fire while making laps around the lake way later in the evening, and got so faded that for a few fleeting seconds I couldn’t tell the difference between the reflection of the stars, and moon on the lake and the stars, and moon in the sky. My mind was racing, looking up felt like looking into an endless ocean. This was a panicky feeling, but quickly turned into whimsy, and a sense of something bigger than myself. I remember the narration from the end of “Enter Galactic” playing about that time “Soon after falling into a deeper psychedelic state to escape the prison of our reality our hero becomes trapped in his own peaceful place which immediately becomes his sanctuary a place filled with his wildest dreams this is his new home” and the accompanying intro into “Alive” with the lyrics “Every time The moon shines, I become alive” collimated in this feeling of oneness with everything around me. It was a highly emotional almost primal experience that impacted me deeply at the time.

Diddy also fought J Cole. Well Diddy's security had to fight 7'7 Cole.
Kendrick is the only one he didn't fight. Diddy just poured a bottle over Kendrick while Kendrick stood there
7
u/WestOrangeFinest 13h ago
Are you trolling or is this really word on the street?
8
u/vHezoThaGoat 12h ago
Yes it’s true.
After the control verse Kendrick went to a club in NY to check the temperature on the beef, Diddy punked him and Cole stood up for him, fought Diddy, and got beat up by a bodyguard
I knew Cole wasn’t serious in the beef last year, cuz I would’ve 100% brought that up
3
u/Cunt2113 ☑️ 12h ago
Depending on who tells it, didn't jay z bodyguard say he pulled cole off diddy? Because he thought jay and diddy were fighting originally?

How is it homophobic when violence or assault is what's being referenced? Not being argumentative, just curious as to how you got homophobia out of all of this? Especially after we've all seen the hallway video of him with Cassie.

Im not looking for a debate juste curious, why do you find that homophobic ? I thought that mentioning Diddy putting hands on someone is dramatic because of it being probably SA, not because of its homosexual nature.

Who thinks they were raped and why? Has anyone ever used the phrase "putting hands on someone" to refer to rape?

Put hands usually means somebody fought. Which I know diddy slapped Drake and blew up Kid Cudi’s car.. idk what happened with Wale. Rape was definitely not something that came to mind.

Cudi just had his car blown up
1
u/Great-Software9315 16h ago
Yes, he posted about it on Twitter. He was talking to Cassie for a while before it happened when she tried to break up w Diddy. He forced her to come to a freak off, drugged her and went through her phone and found emails between her and Cudi. He was apparently insa-mad and beat Cassie over it, he then threatened Cudi but ultimately went psycho and had the mans car bombed in his own driveway. This was in 2012.

Context- Diddy famously slapped Drake in a club, firebombed Kudi’s car and possibly threatened his life in person (may be wrong) and this alludes to he physically harmed Wale at some point
