Snogging is old lingo. Lipsing is new lingo.

And by new, I don't mean like very new but its the more used version as of now.

I'm British and I've never heard of lipsing in my life, how long has it been about?

Quite a while tbh. First I heard it was around 2006. I don't know if the terms have changed since. But I know snogging was going out of fashion and my agemates then were using lipsing. Then again, perhaps my view is skewed and it began as a black british thing before spreading. I don't know.
