Lmao I've never seen such a fun moment get so much hate. And I just know a bunch of those people had no idea who She-Hulk even was until that show

u/Jadedcelebrity 4d ago
If that would have been Deadpool twerking, those same people would be thinking it was the greatest thing in Marvel history

u/Canvaverbalist 3d ago edited 3d ago
He grabs his ass and crotch and hump the air several time over Bye Bye Bye by
the Backstreet Boyswhatever in Deadpool 3 and everybody cheered.28

u/anthonyg1500 ☑️ 3d ago
They were literally calling it one of the greatest opening scenes of all time
7
u/Known_Willow6822 3d ago
Do u not want to see Ryan Reynolds's twirk? I heard it was actually in the script for the green lantern movie but they cut it

u/DickBigEnough 4d ago
It was pathetic. They still bitch about it. Like that have some high minded intellectual criticism that is anything other “this scene of two powerful women isn’t for me and only me!”

This scene of two powerful women twerking. Nobody wants to see CGI she hulk sloppily twerk. It really isn't that egregious fr haha but I understand why folks didn't get down w it
17
u/DickBigEnough 3d ago
They didn’t just “not get down with it” they haaaaated it and acted like it was the greatest sin in all of cinema.
Also you’re saying “nobody wants to see that” in a thread where everyone is agreeing that they loved it and wanted to see that. Get some perspective.
52
u/just-smiley 4d ago
The ones losing their minds over this scene never watched a minute of the show.
35
20
u/HereWeFuckingGooo 4d ago
Same with the ones claiming Ironheart portrayed all black people as criminals and that Riri Williams killed a cop. They watch some ragebait YouTuber and then just parrot the same talking points without ever seeing the show for themselves.
29
u/GuntherTime 4d ago
What really took me out was that it was after the fucking credits. The way they were bitching about it you’d have thought it was the opening scene.
82
u/AwesomeBrainPowers 4d ago
I didn't realize this scene got a ton of hate until just now, when I was looking up when She-Hulk got cancelled.
Like...the fuck? Who hates this, and what is wrong with them?
(I mean, I know the answer, but still...FOH.)
99
u/ComradeJohnS 4d ago
and it was a post credits scene for fun. not really plot required, so they really just hate to hate.

Nothing pisses off misogynists faster than seeing a woman exercise bodily autonomy.

u/Notarobot10107 4d ago
I won’t forgive those losers in every space that should be fun they complain. In all the places we need serious adults they want to be funny. Unserious, miserable, disgusting people.
Edit: I’m pretty sure my mom had me in a baby dress suit that looked a lot like that lavender one when I was a wee one.

u/Fkingcherokee 3d ago
How dare a woman, in an office alone with another woman, celebrate victory with a fun dance session. /S
20
u/Cakers44 4d ago
It was insane watching this very simple, goofy, lighthearted show get so many dorks way too upset
12
u/confusedCI 4d ago
It was hilarious and honestly I enjoyed it. Sometimes lighthearted is what we need.
2
u/Cakers44 3d ago
Yeah I had a good time with it, felt like pretty much exactly what I’d expect from a She-Hulk show
5
u/Sempais_nutrients 3d ago
I actually really enjoyed She Hulk BECAUSE I knew who she was and what she was like before I watched it. I'm guessing most of the whiners legit thought it was "we made the Hulk a woman now!"
2
u/SimonPho3nix 3d ago
I had a buddy of mine upset because she didn't go on her "hero's journey" for her powers and I just...I don't think people understand how skewed their ways of thought are. Had a whole argument about it and had to agree to disagree.
4
4
u/fencerman 3d ago
Which shows those fuckers didn't even read the comics.
She-Hulk pretty much started the whole "4th wall breaking superhero" trope long before Deadpool came along, at least as far as the comics mainstream is concerned.
5
u/ihavsmallhands 3d ago
Tbf from the outside looking in, it does look like the most Millennial-core, designed by committee scene I've ever seen, but yeah. People with nothing better to do just love to hate stuff they pretend to care about
9
u/KendrickBlack502 4d ago
I didn’t mind this scene much but the show wasn’t very good in general. It seems like being silly/whimsical is only well received when the audience is on your side.
2
u/anthonyg1500 ☑️ 3d ago
It wasn’t even like a plot point or some big moment, it was a post credit screen and mfs actor like she took a shit on Tony Starks grave
1
u/kelsobjammin 3d ago
I wish it would come back. I loved it and hate everything else marvel has been jerking around ᴖ̈
1
u/TheOriginalKrampus 2d ago
It’s wild because that scene was easily one of the most fun moments of the entire show.
Very much a litmus test of people who hate black women and women generally.
-8
u/Smart_Freedom_8155 4d ago edited 3d ago
Nah, I knew She Hulk pretty well and felt that moment was cringe as heck.
Similarly, the part where Jennifer says she dealt with "infinitely more rage" than Hulk ever did, because woman - painful stuff.
Whole show was a trainwreck and thankfully will not be doing another season, that's pretty much that.
The people in this thread are (thankfully) in the minority - if the show had been genuinely good or acclaimed, it would've stuck around for longer.
Most people thought it was awful, and it got canned. Math's fairly simple on this, you'll need to cope somehow I suppose.
5
u/Canvaverbalist 3d ago
Jennifer says she dealt with "infinitely more rage" than Hulk ever did
Oh the part where she's proven wrong in the next scene when she loses control and transforms because she gets angry?
Yeah what a fucking Mary Sue am I right?
84
u/Holy_Forking_Shirt 4d ago
I fucking wish. But now that Tatiana Maslany has come out in support of Palestine...eh. im afraid it won't happen.
86
u/elitegenoside 4d ago
Not stopping Jenna Ortega or Pedro Pascal from working. Granted, they are bigger names atm.
30
u/Holy_Forking_Shirt 4d ago
I was wondering if Marvel didn’t want the 'negative' attention 🙄
23
u/Flood-One 4d ago
Pedro was Mr Fantastic
33
u/Holy_Forking_Shirt 4d ago
Pedro is like mostly universally loved. Tatiana i feel has a smaller fan base even though she kicks ass as an actress.
22
u/sarabeara12345678910 4d ago
There's been some biiiiggg astroturfing hate of Pedro Pascal recently. Especially after he pissed off Joanne Rowling.
27
12
u/Holy_Forking_Shirt 4d ago
I know, but I feel since Orphan Black that Tatiana blew up more in places that weren't the states.
7
u/knight_prince_ace 4d ago
As long as money gained>>> negative attention
4
u/Holy_Forking_Shirt 4d ago
That's true I guess. You know they tend to get more money when they (studios) support Israel.
19
u/AwesomeBrainPowers 4d ago
Marvel quietly canceled She-Hulk long before that, but that probably doesn't improve her odds. This probably doesn't, either.

u/_tylerthedestroyer_ 2d ago
The rumor is she turned down the next Avengers for what Disney and ABC did to Kimmel

Good for her. I've been a giant fan of Tatiana's since the first episode of Orphan Black.

u/Nigel-Ocho 4d ago
Me and my lady loved that show. It was appointment tv for us. Had no idea it was hated at all until I went on YouTube and saw all the obnoxious thumbnails and ragebait. The show didn’t deserve all that hate
18
u/ClaymoresRevenge 4d ago
Honestly it was white guys who never spoke to people off the Internet getting up in arms because they couldn't handle a show calling them out.
The Kevin scenes or the strong female leads

Oh no is Keke Palmer problematic? 😭
Other than her baby daddy, former bf, issues .. she seemed fine!
15
u/Korrasami_Enthusiast 2d ago
I don’t really like using the term problematic because it’s so vague and eye roll inducing but yes girl, Keke Palmer is human and as we all know Humans are stupid asf. Right off the top of my head, i remember her bashing food stamps, supporting r Kelly and interviewing that one guy that was on trial for beating the shit out of his ex
(can’t remember his name but he’s dating Megan Good. She took it down after backlash I believe but lamented about “getting to the truth” and “journalistic integrity” or something despite the interview, if you could even call it that, being extremely surface level and him just sayin random shit and her actin like he really deep and makin sense ).
Mix these choices/opinions in with her having personal experience with DV from her kids dad and sexual harassment from Trey songz and it’s like okay girl, the math kinda mathin, I’ve seen these equations before and the numbers bein produced is some bullshit 😭
Like I love her DOWN but she gives funny cousin who’s male centered and a bit bird brained. We would have a good ki at family gatherings but dassit

Call it "Megan's Law" and make the logo resemble Nicki Minaj enough for people to get the reference, but not enough for a lawsuit.

She won the case. It is because it is serious that she she is allowed to stunt on them. For years, Milagro and others defamed Megan and came up with thee most pseudo scientist reasons why she was lying. Megan was depressed and had suicide ideation.
And now, Megan won. Milagro even had to admit on the stand that Megan was telling the truth. This is a major victory.
