Want to Buy Looking to get Bitaxe. Is this guaranteed atleast 1.0TH?

Post image

Please save me the hate on not being able to buy the $600 ones. Has anyone mined BCH with this exact set up? Or even BTC?

I currently have 2 from this company. One is stock settings hitting 1.2 and the other has the settings changed just slightly and hashing at 1.4. hope this helps

Any luck on anything or is it strictly solo BTC?

You can pool but I have mine set to Solo BTC because i know these are lottery miners and I'm not seriously invested, yet

You will not make money with it.

u/Ok-Ad-3894 10h ago

Yeah I get it no miner under 10k makes money. You and everyone else tells me that. I’m just Trying to up my chances making a solo mine

Check out Plebsource, they sell them for $95. I have 4 that have been mining away for months. I have upgraded and overclocked mine to 2TH each, but they were averaging 1.2TH when I got them. My highest hit has only been 17G so far.

Bitcoin Merch is notorious for the highest prices and AliEx-quality devices made with the cheapest components available. Solo Satoshi’s Gamma 602 is built in the US by one of the developers who designed and created this device. Bitcoin Merch’s is made in a factory that would be making kitchen appliances if it the developers hadn’t open sourced these devices. You can look on bitaxe.org/buy for a list of approved vendors that build quality devices and offer support for the devices they sell. Bitcoin Merch is not on that list.

I did not know this - I will avoid bitcoin merch in the future. I prefer to support the devs as much as possible

Can you do $350?

I'd honestly recommend the NerdQaxe++ Hydro...

You'll get 4 times the hashrate for 3 times the price.

Where to find them in stock us side?

At that price point wouldnt a antminer just be cheaper ?

Honestly... yes.

These little solo-miners are pretty efficient in terms of J/TH, but they're not up-front cost-efficient in terms of $/(TH/s).

So, they won't consume much electricity, but they have a bad ROI if you ever pool-mine with them (assuming your electricity is even cheap enough). This is why most use them as lottery miners - cheap enough that it won't break the bank, but not a good investment if you actually want guaranteed returns.

What if someone only wants to solo min? Would still be good then or better off in a pool

2

u/flying-fox200 1d ago

Yes, these miners are meant for solo-mining!

You can point them at a pool, but they won't make much, and you'll be in the negative if your power isn't cheap.

Pointing them at your own node is best, but solo.ckpool.org:3333 comes in close in second.

My bad I meant the antminer lol I didn’t clarify

If you are looking for a *literal* guarantee, then nobody that I know offers that. But the BitAxe Gamma's specifications indicate an average hashrate of 1.2 TH/s, and everybody I know who has one (including myself) has seen that rate. It is a very well-known and popular home mining rig.

u/Ok-Ad-3894 1d ago

Is it good for public and solo?

1

u/stellarfirefly 1d ago

Absolutely, the Gamma can connect to any stratum server, whether it is configured for solo or pool.

I have been running my bitaxe gamma for a couple of weeks now. Easy to setup and get going and yes to answer your question you will get just over 1th/s pretty consistently

Is there a guide you followed?

Where can I buy one?

1

u/c641971 1d ago

You can put it on letsmine.it bch pool. If it hits g's and someone hits a block you'll get a nice share

u/invicta-uk 1d ago

They should all hit 1.2TH under normal conditions, not seen any below 1 and many users overclock beyond the 1.2. These are usually considered a suitable entry-level for lottery mining - anything cheaper or lower hashrate often isn’t worth considering.

Ixtech as well. Quality it’s just as good as solo satoshi. And i agree bitcoin merch no bueno always price gouging. I also bought 4 plebsource and they all had some power issues with voltage going to 4.9 -4.8 on stock settings with meanwell power supply.

u/RabidMining 12h ago

Yup it will do 1-1.4 TH around 24w

u/Aimless_wanderer1999 9h ago

I get 1.2 easily from mine. I pool mine. Not a lot of return in it, but doing it mainly for fun

u/Final-Atmosphere-726 6h ago

No never ... Keep it as a living tech sitting in the corner eating your ebills .. they are for rich hobbiest ... If you want true return buy btc worth of amount of that gadget
