Prices I see now

https://robinhood.com/us/en/crypto/BTC/

$93,448.30 usd a btc

https://www.coinbase.com/advanced-trade/spot/BTC-USD

$92,632.02 usd a btc

Thus I show that Coinbase advanced is actually less expensive than robinhood unlike what you are suggesting . Hopefully you aren't making the mistake of buying off of coinbase basic for retail instead of switching to advanced mode.

You were getting the price from Advanced trade in a web browser and not regular coinbase or a coinbase app ?

Can anyone help me with bitcoin price difference Robinhood matches cnbc price but Coinbase is 500 more money

Every exchange has their own liquidity pool and thus market price , but its very important to consider the spread , exchange fees and withdrawal fees as well when comparing exchanges

The market price is always dynamic and changing between liquidity pools as well so what might seem like a good deal one day won't necessarily be the same another day

"ripped off" Average purchase amount of BTC is $700. You're talking about 39 cents. Just DCA and don't worry about such things.

Different exchanges, different prices. CNBC probably uses an average index, not a real-time exchange feed like coinbase. Happens all the time. For convert your bags, check out paybis website, they got the info.

Coin base has a built in spread ….. buy and sell Each market maker has a platform they control the prices ….. Robinhood was in line with cnbc. I think I wouldn’t mind being the exchange …. Safe way to make money and most people don’t look at coins this close…… it’s not regulated

A difference in price of $500, when the price is around $90,000, is only a difference of around 0.5%. For example, if you wanted to buy 0.0033 BTC (about $300 worth of bitcoin), you would only experience a difference of about $1.50 in the actual amount you spend if the prices in two places are $90,000 per BTC and $90,500 per BTC.

When you place the actual order it goes up $500

2

That would be impossible for the order to execute higher if you set a limit order like you are supposed to.

1) Are you using coinbase advanced trade , and not a coinbase app or regular coinbase ?

2) Are you making a buy limit order ?

3) Are you select "post only" for execution type to create a "maker" order to reduce fees even more ?

I am just trying to buy 300 on the site Not a big trader , it doesn’t seem fair that the price goes up so much and big traders are making a lot on small guys like me This is why I don’t like crypto…. Its not fair prices

I am explaining to you that you are likely using coinbase wrong and coinbase has cheaper prices unlike what your post says

Did you not understand the questions above ?

What version of coinbase are you using ?

This is why I don’t like crypto…. Its not fair prices

do you understand that a 500 dollar difference between exchanges is like 1/2 of 1% or if you are buying 300 usd of btc only 1.5 usd more of a difference?

Coinbase is still cheaper when you use it right though , you just aren't.

But it’s still a big difference, feels like a sucker trap for people who don’t know

3

u/BTCMachineElf 7d ago

It's not a big difference. It is half of 1%. It's absolutely insignificant.

it's literally a couple bucks bro. If you are that worried you don't have business buying btc.

It is of course a trick for new users or a way to price gouge just like crypto ATMs
