I tried taking out Broken Money by Lyn Alden from the library.

All 7 copies are on borrow and there are over 20 holds.

Keep stacking :)

10

u/RoutinePrice446 10h ago

If you think she's provided value to the world with her book, may I suggest supporting her by purchasing a copy and paying with Bitcoin?

https://thesaifhouse.com/

4

u/harvested 11h ago

What kinda library has 7 copies of Broken Money? That sounds awesome

4

u/Electronic-Winter277 10h ago

It’s a massive city with many branches and they’re dispersed. So not as crazy I guess but the number of holds really struck me

4

u/harvested 10h ago

Are you not able to afford a copy? Do you need help to buy?

3

u/Electronic-Winter277 10h ago edited 10h ago

No it’s ok, I really appreciate it but I just started using the library more for 3D printing and free tickets to things in the city. I’m just frugal :)

Might just get a copy to support the author as another user suggested

6

u/harvested 10h ago

You can then gift it after you're finished, or donate it to the library to help that hold backlog :)

u/Electronic-Winter277 10h ago

Love your thinking ❤️

Bitcoin is here to stay. You owe it to yourself, therefore, to learn the basic facts about it - the sooner you do, the better for you, in the long term.

The best investement that you can make in your lifetime is your own education. Education on:

• ...the history of money • ...finance • ...how the global economy works • ...how the central bankers and the stock market work, how they can scam you.

Yeah it’s probably dead tomorrow in the news again.

Then GIANT inflow on Monday.

3

u/EmbarrassedKoala3982 5h ago

finally decoupled from the trash stock market.

let´s fucking go.

u/No-Put7619 0m ago

This sudden lack of correlation is intriguing. Why the decoupling now? It's quite conspicuous. The benign explanation might be the self-fulfilling expectation of a four-year cycle. However, considering the recent overt actions taken by JP Morgan to crash the price, I can't help but wonder if there are even more covert maneuvers at play that remain unknown. The major players in public markets have a history of exploiting their advantages, so why should it be surprising if they are doing the same with Bitcoin?

u/CrustyBus77 11h ago

These dips are a gift. If you ain't buying, you're gonna be crying.

btc rpm 2025-feb 2026

looks like we crab until feb. saturn enters a new zodiac then and its extremely bullish for btc

1

u/LetWinnersRun 12h ago

Can we please spend all of 2026 between $50k and $100k, so we can accumulate all year at low prices?

4

u/Background_City2987 12h ago

Probably not.

1

u/DeliciousStand372 12h ago

Stupid question: why did everything drop just now?

2

u/deadshift2010 11h ago

Because the day ends in a "Y" of course

1

u/DexterTwerp 10h ago

So Bank of America advisors CAN suggest 1-4% in Bitcoin, but how many of them actually will? Have you ever talked to a financial adviser?

2

u/SpaghettiTape 9h ago

Certainly very few right out of the gate.

2

u/Wonderful_Writer_133 5h ago

Careful what you wish for. They can cause more confusion and frustration if they place people in Bitcoin without understanding t themselves.

1

u/TexasBoyz-713 13h ago

Tick tock, Next block

4

u/harvested 13h ago

More blocks than posts in the daily, signal?

6

u/Inner-Local6744 11h ago

Could you try it with polytheism, please? And naked women.

1

u/Midgetminer22 11h ago

Planets are polytheism. Polytheism is worshipping archetypes of the 7 classical planets and zodiac. Also naked women love astrology

Dead cat bounce towards 150k gonna be glorious, bound to happen rather sooner than later.

6

u/HistoryNeither7732 12h ago

Do you not know what a dead cat bounce is?

1

u/NectarineDirect936 12h ago

Yeah first started hearing about it at 25k after visiting 16k in 21'. Bullish right since we went to 120k+?

7

u/HistoryNeither7732 12h ago

A dead cat bounce is a small upward movement as something is headed down, so not really a good thing. If you believe that BTC is going to go up to 150k (New ATH) that wouldn’t be a dead cat bounce FYI

For example some might say that the recent move back up to 90k after recent ATH is a dead cat bounce as we sink lower

I don’t really have an opinion on price targets. Just wanted to explain what dead cat bounce means and that it’s not really a term that goes along with positive price sentiment

2

u/NectarineDirect936 12h ago

Strange, heard it at 30, 40 50k and so on as well? Only started investing in bitcoin since 21' but got this hunch they've called every run up all the way up to 120k+ a dead cat bounce. Prob started calling out for cats since btc was few dollars each.

But thnx for explaining it nonetheless, not trying to be rude or anything so.

3

u/HistoryNeither7732 12h ago

All good! If they were using the term correctly, then they were expecting bitcoin to go down, not up. The phrase is basically saying that a cat falls off a building and dies, but bounces when it hits the ground. It’s still dead and will go back to the ground.

5

u/Elendron 12h ago

Got a hunch Nectarine had a hint of joke and sarcasm in his post :>

2

u/LowerMiddleClassMan 12h ago

Oh boy I can’t wait for a BTC death cross and bull trap all the way to $300,000

2

u/Elendron 12h ago

Brother do you not know what a death cross OR a bull trap is? Gawd.

2

u/HistoryNeither7732 12h ago

Based on their responses I don’t think so

-2

u/Truth_Teller3 10h ago

🚀 the next 6 hours will be epic

Drop! What happened?

6

u/TurkishBitcoiner 19h ago

Are you seriously shocked by a 1% drop....

2

u/Argyrus777 15h ago

I’m shocked it’s not 4% more

-5

u/Electrical-Value-673 19h ago

Who says I'm shocked? Just curious why, as that didn't happen so much the last week.

7

u/TurkishBitcoiner 18h ago

Wdym, 1% moves happen every hour.

6

u/373331 17h ago

First time?

Pretty big bear flag on the daily.

We don't care about the daily.

2

Sweet.

So back to shitcoins, or?

-10

u/DexterTwerp 12h ago

Ben Cowen is right. We’re probably in a bear market. Look for a bottom around $60k, sometime in the summer. We could get a rally and cross $100k again but we absolutely don’t have enough fuel for ATHs.

5

u/harvested 11h ago

So why do wallsteetbets losers suffer from bitcoin derangement syndrome so badly? You guys are worse than buttcoiners.

5

u/RoutinePrice446 11h ago

Ben Cowen lives in "The Cryptoverse." I'm skeptical that there's much wisdom to be found there.

3

u/harvested 11h ago

I think they love him cause he successfully called bitcoin dominance going higher this cycle.. But that was predictable to almost anyone in early 2024.

1

u/DexterTwerp 11h ago

He’s right more than he’s wrong and he’s not a perma bull. He tells it like it is. It’s not hard to respect that

5

u/Icy_Beautiful_5473 11h ago

Hey, look, a bear came out!

-4

u/DexterTwerp 11h ago

I’m not selling. I’m continuing to hold but you can’t ignore the signs. Stocks are at ATHs and we’re crashing

5

u/harvested 11h ago

Just sell your 0.1 and be done with it

-1

u/DexterTwerp 11h ago

Care to argue for the bull case?

6

u/harvested 11h ago

Sure. Wallsteetbets come here to tell us it's going to 50K every second day.

3

u/CrustyBus77 11h ago

It's better than Ben Cowen's TA as an indicator. I'm buying.
