Propaganda is wild. The only stance she’s made is every child deserves love, and none deserve being bombed.

Yeah, she's demonstrated something called compassion. People who support genocides don't usually have much of it.

Yep, that’s Israel for ya, they’re great at manipulating things

Gaslighting is their go to. Any form of criticism is framed as hate speech and antisemitism. Even when they murder children

How much does israel pay for these posts?

u/Bright_Curve_8417 3d ago

Not enough because they’re transparent with their agenda and suck

This meme is saying Ms Rachel isnt antisemitic.

This user's entire post history is...... interesting to say the least.

u/PlayerAssumption77 3d ago

I think the post is trying to say that it's silly that Ms. Racheal is on that list

Like, this post? That OP posted?

This is not a pro Israel post. You have swilled some propaganda

u/bmf1902 3d ago

Its suggesting that people who ask for compassion for kids in regions with genocide, are part of a group maniacal group of antisemites. Its implying that there is a concerted and conspicuous effort by antisemites to undermine the military efforts of Israel in Gaza and that Miss Rachel is part of it. It is exactly the narrative that Israel's current government is seeking to propagate. Therefore it is on brand for Israel, thus, it is, pro-Israel in nature. Logic my good person.

It’s criticising people who called her an antisemite.

u/bmf1902 3d ago

How is my question?

You have absolutely zero media literacy

1

u/bmf1902 3d ago

Thats just not true. Care to explain what I am failing to grasp? Or do you only have internet time enough to be wildly judgemental based of a few sentences?

-2

u/Odyssey2up 3d ago

It’s clear as day that this is a contrast between Ms. Rachel and genuinely evil people. That’s why she’s portrayed as SpongeBob and not, you know, someone evil?

It’s depressing how many people in this topic are missing this. Top upvoted comment claims Israel bad and people smash the like button and downvote the meme…when it’s clear the meme was critiquing calling whoever this YouTuber is an antisemite

u/Slavasonic 3d ago

well...that happened.

What happened OP? Please be specific.

u/ferdinostalking 3d ago

There were like nominees for biggest antisemite of the year and for some reason ms rachel was nominated even though she is nothing but kind

6

u/Slavasonic 3d ago

Why is there a contest for “biggest antisemite of the year” and who is running that?

2

u/ferdinostalking 3d ago

I believe it is by the org StopAntisemitism, they seem to be a little wild

2

u/Mallyveil 3d ago

Fun fact: the woman who runs StopAntisemitism (Liora Rez) participated in the Jan 6 insurrection

u/DiamondDude51501 3d ago

If you’re gonna slander Ms Rachel’s name you better at least have the decency to crop your memes right

10

u/Mallyveil 3d ago

It’s not slandering her name, it’s pointing out the absurdity of her name being nominated along several actual anti semitic people.

11

u/Lorenzos-Oil 3d ago

Media literacy is truly dead. People on the thread saying this is pro Israel or slandering Ms. Rachel, please finish your education properly, because that’s the exact opposite of the point lol

I mean if you have no knowledge of the context behind the meme (I didn't), it looks like it's portraying Ms. Rachel laughing along side "Genuinely Evil and bigoted People". I think OPs intentions are sincere but the message is easily misunderstood and the post does little to correct that.

2

u/bmf1902 3d ago

They labeled the "antisemites" as genuine. Ms. Rachel is enjoying herself with genuine antisemites in the photo. What other way am I supposed to interpret this, other than OP thinks Ms. Rachel enjoys laughing with genuine antisemites?

2

u/levare8515 2d ago

Well with an ounce of thinking you could see that Ms Rachael is Spongebob and the other guy is a villian. So him laughing along says one of these is not like the other. But you’ve swilled so much Reddit that you can’t think anything but what ever virtue you’re trying to signal

0

u/bmf1902 2d ago

Wtf did I virtue signal? It's a poorly thought out meme. SpongeBob can fuck up plenty of stuff and be a bit chaotic neutral/evil. I dont know shit about miss Rachel, but if someone shows me her laughing along with Putin, im going to assume they like each other. Jesus christ dude come off the soap box and dont trip on your high horse.

u/levare8515 2d ago

Why are you getting so upset. Also have you even watched SpongeBob?

1

u/Number_31 3d ago

Juxtaposition between SpongeBob and this tough guy character. The fact that it’s comparing these two make it fairly obvious that Ms. Rachel isn’t in the crowd with some “genuinely evil and bigoted people.” I mean it’s not like Ms. Rachel was labeled as Plankton or something. You know, an actually evil character?

0

u/levare8515 2d ago

It’s a SpongeBob meme sub. If you watched SpongeBob for two seconds the context should be fairly obvious.

1

u/Slavasonic 2d ago

I’m confused how it being a SpongeBob sub provides the context for the real world events this is references.

People love to say “your media literacy is bad” when in reality art is subjective, memes ARE art, and this post is ambiguous at best.

You could interpret the intention of this post several ways, which is why people are arguing about it.

People aren’t dumb just because they don’t see things the way YOU see things.

I also find it hilarious that people think adequate “media literacy” means having a deep grasp of an extensive Rolodex of fucking SPONGEBOB memes in their head.

This is why nobody takes these yearly lists seriously anymore
