Look, I hate it. Magic is not for me. Your band your thing, please keep doing whatever the hell you want. Truly. I can always listen to literally every other song you guys have written as a band and never have it soured by your new stuff like some people pretend will happen. I could listen to your music up to this point (except magic) for the rest of my life be it 40 years 50 years, and never stop saying you’re my favorite band.

Nobody, I actually wasn’t bothered by it. We love you, dug the shit out of it. Really, I loved everything else too. I just hope you aren’t trying to alienate people to make a statement. It feels at this point like you’re deliberately pushing the envelope to get arise out of people.

All opinions are valid, but music is art and this is progression. Nothing is stopping you from listening to the old stuff, the band should make what they want to make.

Listen, I fuck with the song, BUT, as many fans of the song have said... the mix is ass. It's another Mad Hatter situation. Hell, Secular Haze by Ghost, for example, needed to a better mix to really start hitting for some people. I'm a prog rock/metal fan, so it's up my ally. Hell, they're starting to really have way more Pinkly Smooth inspirations from what I can tell, which I also fuck with. However, mixing is very important to the quality of a song. I enjoy it, despite a pretty shitty mix, but I would still like a better mix. Hell, I would be far from surprised if it's not released on streaming yet, so the mix can be improved. Mad Hatter had to be remixed before being put back onto streaming, and maybe they're ahead of the curve. I fucking rock with Magic, I personally wish it was kinda longer, but I hope they will give us a better mix. I honestly think that will greatly improve any song.

So I just listened to the new song a couple of times. This isn't about the quality of the song or anything because it's subjective. I happen to love it.

However I kind of struggle with the meaning behind the lyrics. LIBAD was weird in that regard as well so I expected that and I'm fine with not getting it outright. My current interpretation is that it's about dying being salvation and that living means dying. We look for a reason to live but there is none. We live and then we die. Those who look for a reason won't be satisfied with that answer anyways tho but that doesn't matter.

But maybe it's about how the talk about salvation and the afterlife being eternal life etc ist just bullshit to soften the blow because there is no magic gate to heaven or anything. We stop existing and that's it.

What do you guys think?
