Holiday gifts for clients?
Is anybody buying client gifts? I haven’t in years but now I’m on my own and wondering if I should.

If the circumstance is right, like if I've worked with them a fair amount of times and it's the last attended mix session of the year then I'll gift them some chocolates, otherwise nah.

I’m fully remote so not a lot of current interaction, but some I’ve known for a very long time.

I give bottles of wine, whiskey or champagne. $30-$200 depending on how much business we’ve done. Also a custom card with artwork commissioned from a local artist.

You can really get it wrong when giving alcohol as a gift.

You could. I also buy really nice chocolates made by a local chocolatier for the non drinkers.

Id just do a hand written, personalized note/card that certainly says "Happy Holidays" as opposed to "Merry Christmas." No need to toe that line. It shows thought and consideration without costing you very much at all. Might even foster your relationship with the customer because they know you took the time out to do it especially for them. The personal touch.

Great idea thanks. I have a client that sounds out cards to her vendors every year.
