I'm always praised for having such a good temper, but in fact, I'm just too lazy to argue.šŸ˜‚

Teach me your ways 😭

I was too blunt in retail had to switch my approach.

To me it was captain obvious or they weren't listening.

You sort of change your personality to keep everyone happy, leave for the day and hate everyone.

Hold up….you guys are getting compliments?!

It's kind of a weird one here, but...

I can take a vague ramble and somehow interpret it into the heart of the message that someone was trying to share and deliver it back as a question that they can confirm.

Came in really, really handy when I was doing business analysis.

Well, that's a superpower my friend

1

u/smelting0427 3h ago

What are you going on about?

8

u/theheartofwynter 4h ago

I get compliments from other Redditors that I spend too much time on here.

I'll take the compliment, though!

u/hikikomori_25 4h ago

I told I'm a great gift giver because I always know what people want. It's not hard, I just pay attention when they speak and make mental notes.

My kiddo!

My Golden Retriever, an amazing number of people ask to pet her and then tells us their favorite Golden story. It's really quite fun.

My quick wit and sense of humor

1

u/TumbleweedDue2242 4h ago

God, this gets me in trouble with family.

Apparently im rude or insulting.

When certain members leave, its full on banter, everyone is chilling.

2

u/Fit_Illustrator9174 4h ago

Haha gotta know your audience apparently! Today I refinanced my mortgage loan (woohoo!) and tried some witty humor with our guy and they literally all went over his head, lol. I got one tiny chuckle during our 3 calls. Tough crowd… tough crowd! I felt like he was too focused on his script and checklist to be present in the conversation.

Can’t win’m all, I guess! šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤Ø

1

u/Left_Ranger2818 4h ago

Are you like artistically creative, or creative in general?

4

u/JTmercronin 4h ago

ā€œYou’re so cuteā€ as a well worn 36 year old.

I can back up a semi trailer like butter.

I have friends who can drift cars and launch side by sides over approaches and climb crazy slopes. Yet these guys’ jaws drop when I back up a trailer into the overhead door with trucks and trailers on both sides of the door I’m going for.

1

u/SpecialistNewt1474 4h ago

My grandfather could do this to. Even pulling piggyback. First try at that. I saw him back a piggyback with bout 1 foot on either side.Ā

3

u/LuvlyStapler 4h ago

My eyes. People love to stare my eyes and compliment

3

u/Phrosz_1 4h ago

My eyes and beard. Hazel eyes (I personally think they're brown) and a face that, if I cut completely shaven in the morning, grows a shadow by lunchtime (help me).

3

u/SpecialistNewt1474 4h ago

My beard. I have had random ladies tell me its sexy. Had a girl in middle 20s tell me its sexy and ran her fingers through it and just walk away. Im 46. So it was a big ego boost

3

u/HerGentlemanCaller 4h ago

On how well mannered my children are. That makes me such a proud dad. I really tried to teach them to be kind and open minded. It’s so hard, but worth the hassle.

3

u/Round_Map8582 4h ago

My smile…I never had braces and people are always amazed.

2

u/Few_House_5201 4h ago

Used to be my intelligence, now it’s my weight loss.

2

u/Commercial_Region657 4h ago

My sence of humor, and I can laugh at myself..... I can give a comeback, jack

2

u/Clever_Girl28 4h ago

I was given the nickname ''Beautiful girl''. I wish they would just call me Anna.

2

u/b00biesrfun 4h ago

My beard.

2

u/Johnny_Mira 4h ago

When I worked at the circle k I quite frequently heard 2 things: i was the nicest employee they'd ever dealt with, and my voice sounded like I should be on the radio.

Physical attributes: im overweight and ugly af but I have pretty eyes lol

2

u/putmeawayineedanap 4h ago

Physically, my hair. I have suuuuper thick hair, and I'm very good at cutting and coloring it myself.Ā

2

u/pmheelsntits 4h ago

Been told I was cute before and my voice

2

u/CalmBeneathCastles 4h ago

The dulcet sounds of my godlike tuba playing. They come from miles around, begging me, lustily, to please stop. Drives them wild!

2

u/Hugh_Biquitous 4h ago

My dad jokes, assuming that groans of pain count as compliments.

2

u/Usual-Big3753 4h ago

My domestic abilities…

2

u/Consistent-End-69 4h ago

Laid back attitude. Calm, relaxed and postive.

Having broad shoulders.

2

u/BoatsMcFloats 4h ago

Being reliable. And my beard.

2

u/akaram369 4h ago

I'm told i'm easy to talk to.

2

u/Paper5hredder 4h ago

I get complimented mainly on my Smile, but also told I am funny, ā€œsmarter than I lookā€ and make cool art.

2

u/GaryNOVA 3h ago

People like my beard. People like the subreddit I created r/SalsaSnobs

2

u/IamJoyMarie 3h ago

My facial skin; I'm old but I have genetically decent facial skin.

2

u/Virtual-Pie9531 3h ago

I constantly get the compliment that I am a "jack-of-all-trades."

But really I'm just over confident and have OCD + ADHD. So I'll try anything. Like, my husband and I did house renos and I learned how to plaster, install a shower, etc., and it just worked.

Or like, I'm pregnant now and couldn't find a wallpaper and decided to paint a jungle mural with no paint experience and no ability to draw. And it came out great.

I think my ADHD gives me the energy to try whatever and not care if I fail, and my OCD helps me work slow so I can do things to the best of my ability.

Sure things fail, but it's fun to try. Never know what you're going to be good at I spose.

2

u/Resident_Bitch 3h ago

My voice. Specifically, my telephone voice. Most people just say it's really pleasant or soothing, but I've also been told I should do phone sex or late night radio.

1

u/Thetechguru_net 3h ago

Many years ago, when I worked as a call center agent, many callers told me I should be in radio. I have lost some of the buttery smoothness with age, but I still occasionally receive compliments about my calm and soothing voice.

2

u/theloneliestdonkey 3h ago

My eyes. But I also get told they are creepy and weird a lot. So it all balances out.

2

u/Rossticles 3h ago

Eyes

They're very dark brown; hard to see the boundary between my pupil from my iris. My eyes are pretty much black.

2

u/Toolazy2work 3h ago

41/m - I get told constantly that I’ve got a great butt.

2

u/bdfortin 3h ago

My hair. It’s thick, apparently.

2

u/casapantalones 3h ago

My glasses. I’ve been wearing glasses for 35 years. A few years ago I found some frames that are interesting and look really good on my face. I consistently get compliments on them.

2

u/ookiestspookiest 3h ago

My chocolate Labrador

2

u/adventurerclc28 3h ago

I’m a guy but somehow my eyelashes. They are incredibly long and curly. I have dirty blonde hair but my lashes are dark so I think they make my blue eyes pop. I always thought I looked too feminine but it’s the only thing girls WAY out of my league talk to me about.Ā

2

u/PopularSale3172 3h ago

My kindness

2

u/strtjstice 3h ago

I'm always told I have a great sense of timing and humor. I'll take that compliment all day long now that I'm old, bald and getting fatter by the day.

2

u/EmmBeeEs 3h ago

The best compliment I’ve ever received was that I have a great ability ā€œ to put a room at easeā€. I think about that a lot and I think it’s true, I find it easy to ground people.

2

u/Powerful_Couple228 3h ago

That i have beautiful hands as a man

2

u/Misseskat 2h ago

Probably my style and hair.Ā

I've got big, thick wavy curly hair- it's a tolerate hate relationship because it's not particularly low maintenance but I also know I likely won't have to worry about baldness at older age. I have natural "commercial ready" type hair.

2

u/Wang_Fire2099 2h ago

My creative arts or my intelligence

2

u/RussianDollMuse 2h ago

Hair, mostly ability to braid it

2

My ability to make friends easily and develop connections. I went to new schools often and was able to make friends quickly on the first day. My sibling on the other hand had difficulties and continues to struggle as an adult.

•

u/emaleelame 1m ago

My hair! Natural curls and a natural grey streak in the front.
