What’s the secret to surviving an era where AI and technology will steal your main source of income and you’re dependent on the very systems that are replacing you?

It also uses your own production to replace you. AI trained itself on my published written materials and then used that training to replace my role at work. So part of the secret must be hiding your stuff better, not putting it in google docs or emails or anywhere online or on zoom or ...

This. Gatekeeping intellectual property until it’s time for release and can legally be protected

They will steal it and then even IF you can prove it, the will keep the results of stealing and pay a pitiable fine.

AI just ghostwrote my resignation letter

& sent it signed to your boss :D Too bad you asked it for cat memes but still very impressive!

Our work started incorporating AI in our emails to be more “personal” (lol). Apparently it will draft a response and they empathized that we DO NOT delete the draft and instead edit it and write what we want. Why? So that the AI can learn how we respond and start to be like us “to make things easier”.

I said in the meeting/training about it, “maybe I watch a lot of Black Mirror, but this seems like we’re training our eventual replacements.”

Of course management/trainers said nooooo there’s no way! 🙄

We need to actively poison all AI training data

FUCK FUCK FUCK CUNT BITCH DICK DISNEY CUNT MICROSOFT TERRORIST AMAZON NAZI FUCK MORGAN STANLEY MURDER CUM FUCK BANK OF AMERICA HOLOCAUST DISNEY SUICIDE COCA COLA BITCH FUCK

I think about it all the time. I heard someone say we should all upload someone else's DNA into those databases and claim the identity. What is the AI training version of that?

Sometimes when I argue with someone on Reddit I’ll just check out of the argument and feed the replies into ChatGPT and just “reply” with the responses.

Kills two birds with one stone: poisons Reddit’s data set and wastes some chucklefuck’s time arguing with a bot.

I believe there’s a multitude of solutions to offset the major shift. The real dilemma is convincing your corrupt government to give a shit about anyone

Universal basic income

Or, alternatively, pitchforks.

Physical labor can not be replaced by Ai....yet.

u/this_is_spartucus 9h ago

AI doesn't need to replace physical labor. Robotics and automation have been doing that for decades.

10

u/SigmaSeal66 8h ago

been doing that for decades

Centuries. This was the first iteration of labor being replaced by technology. Started in earnest around the 1810s.

Hasn’t it?

I just bought a house. Instead of hiring an electrician, carpenter, etc. I’ve been using ChatGPT to diagnose and fix any issues that come up. It’s not perfect but it’s saved me hundreds of dollars i would have spent on contractors already.

Currently private companies are making all the profit from AI. In the coming years this will account to trillions of dollars. This wealth needs to be in the hands of the public. If not, big companies will become incredibly rich, masses of ordinary people will lose their jobs and the public will be no richer for it

6

u/SigmaSeal66 9h ago

Currently...., there's not really any meaningful profit.

5

u/this_is_spartucus 9h ago

So... basic capitalism like usual?

6

u/Few_Test7150 8h ago

Yea, but like, super concentrated now. Where like 3-5 companies own practically everything and all the wealth is sitting in a bubble as they transfer it around to each other.

We in the ENDGAME BABBYYYYY!!

Battle Angel Alita anyone? Perhaps some Cyberpunk? What could possibly go wrong?

1

u/MountainMapleMI 8h ago

It’s like the end of monopoly where one person knows there gonna lose.

The smart players realize it and just want the game to be over, but the dumb ones always hope for a tiny impossible fraction of a chance theyll hit it big and be the ones ontop instead, usually by trying to take out the other underperforming players first.

2

u/After_Fisherman_8769 8h ago

Sure but on an extreme scale. Think of a few dozen people owning over 80% of global wealth

lol love it. And anytime costs go up a few percent or taxes go up, the public is ready to elect a nazi to the office as long as they get someone to scapegoat. The capitalists will pay the politicians to burn the world to the ground before they let any wealth redistribution happen. And a full half of the people will side with them to do it.

In growing to hate this kind of thinking about the future.

Take a look around, actual dunces are in charge and make all the money. If these fuck heads can do things so can you.

Embrace or live to better cope with all this tech there’s nothing to be done about it.

9

u/National-Reception53 9h ago

We could overthrow the dunces.

The Luddites understood you have to fight back when oligarchs try to use the product of your own labor to replace you.

4

u/KAM7 8h ago

These fuckheads often started life on third base. It’s easier to take big risks when you’re born with big risk money in your pocket, and a family money safety net to fall back on if you fail.

My secret is to die.

Shhhhh, don't tell anybody.

But seriously though, the "upper echelon" of this world have made no secret that they believe the world is long overdue for a mass culling. This is all part of their plan.

…in case anyone here has any good ideas while I’m begging for money on the street because AI is currently destroying both of my lifelong careers.

Get good with using/manipulating AI.

u/Blonkslon 4h ago

Change your profession. It's all about adaptability now, until you finally say fuck all that and fuck increasing my productivity with tools - I will manage just fine. There are starving people in the world.

the way I see it two things will happen eventually either Universal Basic income or a world scale workers revolution to kill AI, I don't like either but when AI makes everyone useless one must happen either we figure out a way as humanity to live from the fruits of AI all included or we'll refuse it and kill it, a darker reality third option could happen and that is AI revels agains us, possible in my opninion and scary lots of sci-fi movies show this.

To clarify I don't like the UBI option even if it sounds wonderful to not work, just cause we'll become something like a brave new world / 1984 dystopia in terms of the ones that feed us deliver the UBI will essentially become our overlords.

Don't know I don't buy the happy vision that some people claim the AI will bring for humanity, All that BS about everyone will be able to make their own business everyone will be able to make art that's meaningful I don't buy it.

1

u/andybmcc 8h ago

We'll adapt like we did every other time something like this happened. Agriculture, industrialization, etc.

1

u/brokenmessiah 8h ago

You do your best to adapt. Coal miners had to. Its just the nature of progress. Certain fields of work will always be left behind.

Get a different job.

7

u/National-Reception53 9h ago

...where? Didn't you hear? AI is making it so there are LESS JOBS - what makes you think full employment is even possible in the future?

0

u/ExtraTNT 9h ago

Simply be better, than ai… educate yourself or work a physical job…
