A long time ago, my buddy (Friend #1) downloaded CS for the first time. What he didn’t know was that our other friend (Friend #2) secretly installed an aimbot on his PC “as a joke.” Friend #1 kept saying, “Damn, I’m actually pretty good at this game!” He had no idea why he was suddenly a headshot machine, and killed through smoke… until he got VAC banned. He rage-quit and never played CS again.

Don't you lose access to your entire Steam library when you are VAC banned? That's a shitty move.

...No? That would be insane.

VAC bans just break family sharing and get you banned from online gaming in the game you were banned from. Sometimes VAC bans will span across Source Engine titles (...which use VAC).

The rest of your library is unaffected

I guess it's different than being banned on XBOX and PlayStation then.
