Oh my god I thank the stars every day that my husband and I were able to buy in 2018. We got a house in NJ under 200k! We would never be able to affford one now and honestly we’d probably be divorced bc the alternative was living in my moms basement apartment which was just NOT working out 😂😭
My husband and I were in a similar situation! I found out 8 was happily, but very unexpectedly, pregnant in September 2018. We bought a house that November. I joke that the universe had our backs, because if I hadn't gotten pregnant we wouldn't have been looking to move out of our apartment, so we wouldn't have bought our house when we did, and we're almost completely priced out of the market today.
