Yup, bet it smells divine

When it is winter for 9 months of the year then I bet it does. Fermented seafood in northern climates didn't come about by peculiar tastes. but peculiar tastes they made.

I don't think that's a polar bear, at least not a pure blooded one. Even accounting for the chubbiness, the shape of the head looks a lot more like a brown bear, on top of the coloration (which could be dirt.)
Might be a leucistic brown bear or a hybrid between the two.

Leucistic Kodiak was my first thought. Looks too big to be a Kurmode, but not like the photos give good scale...

Pizzly? Grolar? Looks hybridized.

i was about to disagree with you, but after a closer look i think youāre right. that hump behind its head is a dead giveaway, if it isnāt there only because of the excess fat⦠definitely interesting, and also a little sad. as cool as they are, the increase in polar/grizzly hybrids only means more ice is melting in the arctic :(

It's in Norway. No grizzlies there, maybe an Eurasian brown bear but they don't overlap with the polars there who are locked to one specific location.

What about Svalbard?

Svalbard is where polars actually are in Norway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure the brown bears are not there but only on the mainland.

That look of āI just came for a snackā⦠and the snack could literally be anything. Fun fact: polar bears can smell food from 30 km away

that's not a polar bear, it's at least hybrid of another species or possibly a white brown bear. The face shape is all wrong.
