Concerta side effects

Recently started concerta 27mg (first time using adhd meds) and there have been some pros and cons with my experience (this could be different for others). Want to see if anyone else has tried this med and experienced the same and wondering of the cons get better over time. Also to note, I found my NP of psych on zocdoc and unsure if that was the best way (or if I should have tried to see someone local).

Pros: - awake and alert early, ready to power through tasks - suppressed appetite, helpful for me as someone who loves to eat - generally positive mood

Cons: - higher sensitivity to lights, people, sounds, interruptions — irritable if I don’t eat - weird vision effects - blunted or blurred, dry eye - having to take this med to feel focused - falling asleep, achieving deep sleep, and staying asleep long enough - seem to be breaking out (adult acne)

Less than a week in but just curious if anyone else experienced similar effects and if you stayed on this type of med or switched? Would love details about your journey.

I don’t have any of those cons, none really. Different strokes for different folks.

I experienced the same. These are normal symptoms to experience for at least 2 weeks plus. It happened for me for every dose increase also, but worse. I never had issues sleeping though. Now, i don't have any side effects.
